    Default Fold Chaps

T'is the season for wearing Chaps. This video shows a really good way to fold your Chaps for so they will be handy when you need them. I showed this video last year, but I needed to review it so I would not make a mess of it. Another case of CRS.

    Default Chaps

I recommend Colorado Chaps out of Grand Junction, Colorado. They are custom made to fit out
of 1000 denier Nylon (if memory serves), pretty much waterproof, windproof and lightweight.
You will have a individual left and right leg with huge pockets. They strap to your belt and not
around your waist. To top it all off, they roll up and fit in a small stuff bag and are washable.
The price is very reasonable. Of course, as they say opinions may vary.

Well, I got my lined chaps from MyLeather.com (same as Leatherup, but for people with a business license), and I love them. They are very comfortable and have performed great. But this video is great for folding them. I have 2 pair of chaps and keep one in each bike this time of riding season. Folding them as she shows keeps them very compact and is much better than rolling them, as I used to do.

What is the advantage of chaps over waterproof riding pants? Mine are easy to get on, 100% waterproof high denier nylon/Kevlar and impact padded.

Very nice idea. Chaps are one of my go to items for when it gets a bit chilly out there. This last summer, I did not go to the leather pants even one time. The first gear pants with winter liners were only used at the beginning of the season this time. The rest of the time was Kevlar jeans only. I rode from March to late October. One month earlier and one month later than most.

I have seen this video before a couple of years ago and started folding up my chaps this way. It really does make them easier to store on the bike and at home. Thanks for reposting this video

As a guy that also rides a Harley I have to say that around 20 years ago I bought a Aerostich 2 piece Roadcrafter suit. I've had warm knees ever since. Four years ago in Sturgis as far as I could see I was the only guy with a 'Stich. Warm, dry and safe, how uncool. On the way home I stopped in Duluth and ordered a black waxed cotton Falstaff suit. The guy at the Aerostich shop said that's about the only thing they sell to the very few Harley riders that stop in.

    Now I'm only semi uncool.
