I'm fighting lymphedema and metastatic unknown primary cancer, but I and the wife own a 2012 Can Am Spyder RTS. Whatever model you decide on, will always be a matter of personal choice. What do you...
A stepson of mine was riding his Yamaha 800 from his home in Hemet to his place of work in Riverside. He was clipped by what turned out to be a driver without a license, or insurance. Thrown about 30...
I don't think there's anything wrong with an Aramid belt drive. Harley Davidson has had them for awhile now. They're quiet, never needs lubrication, and are less costly to replace than a shaft drive....
Did you stop in with the wife? :-) Or did you ryde home, and surprise her? Some wives are not overly impressed with large, unannounced purchases. And some are completely amenable, happy, and...
Idaho stipulates that those that have a license for conventional motorcycles, can ride both those and three wheelers. However, those having taken the MSF course on a three wheeler, can only only ride...
Many years ago, I joined the Cub Scouts, which was followed by the Webelos, the Boy Scouts, and finally, the Explorers. It was an all male fraternity of sorts which has done just fine, up until now....
I have a 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-S. And in the past, five Gold Wings, and three Harleys. But I don't feel any less "cool" on a Spyder if there was ever a need to feel cool or macho. I might feel more...
I believe the owner's manual calls for 87 octane as a minimum, and 91 octane recommended inside North America. I have to wonder what BRP would say about using non ethanol fuel?

I've enclosed a jpeg here of an older bike. I've had two of these, and as unsophisticated as they were, I'd surely take another one. They vibrated parts off, leaked oil, and easily overran the...

Over pricing? Just a bit. I think someone, unintentionally added a "0" to the sale price. Even without the "0", I still think it's a little too costly.
I have a 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5. It came with the standard halogen light bulbs, but I replaced them with LED bulbs. Made a world of difference.

I understand that numerous riders have traveled the highway, trikes and conventional motorcycles. That's an adventure, on most riders bucket list. I wonder though how practical it would be to take...
At 65 years of age, it's been my pleasure to have been riding for 49 years. And have during those years have owned, and ridden, 16 two wheeled vehicles, from a 1957 Lambretta 150cc scooter, to a 2005...
Did not the city of Anchorage also suffer a quake sometime ago?
Not sure how that would translate to an RT model, but it would be fascinating to see.
You live in Colorado, have you ever ridden up Pike's Peak or Mt. Evans? I see on You Tube that a number of...
My parents, and my mother's usually quoted from the state's license plates when they heard something like this, "show me". Personally, I'll believe it when I see it happen. But I am curious as to see...
I have a 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5 in magnesium silver. What I don't like, is the gas mileage, or more specifically, how far one is able to ride with 6 gallons of gas. Mine, with judicious use of the...
Have there been any recalls for the 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5?
I think it would both interesting, and fun, to see Honda come out with a reverse trike to equal the Gold Wing. Some riders will always prefer the two wheel motorcycle and its cornering abilities, and...
Go to www.groupon.com, and go to "electronics", then go to cameras. A GoPro style camera with 1080p can be had for about $76.
No Pictures? :-(
One of the better movies with the war theme I've seen was actually from Amazon. Called, We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson, and Sam Elliott who portrayed then LtCol Moore and SgtMaj Plunkett, both real...
Twenty years with the Navy from 3/6/1976 to 30/6/1996. And really, not a single regret. Allowed me to retire at 46. Saw more of the world than I'd ever have seen working for Oldsmobile or Fisher Body...
Two movies come to mind. Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo, and White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
Attributed to Voltaire is the comment, "I may not agree with a word that you say, but will defend to the death, you're right to say it".
There are categories within the SpyderLovers forum for almost...
[QUOTE=newbert;1318428]FYI - Beartooth Pass is indeed remote and fuel availability is probably a realistic concern.
However, the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier Park really is not that remote,...
The Spitfire, used by the RAF during WW2, primarily during the Battle of Britain, were made of wood. Training planes at Tuskegee Army Airfield, were made of wood. And I believe Stearman biplanes were...
