That was my thought. Well, my first thought was 'are you part of the G.O.S. group? If not, why do you care at all?'
It's a group that brings together 'girls' or 'women' that love to ride their...
That's my question too. I will need to leave the house about 45 minutes to an hour to be in Kerrville (take 16 to 173), so to know the KSU time would be awesome...
I won't be staying at the hotel (I live outside Bandera, TX) - do you know when the ride starts? Definitely will be there.
I just found out about this (from the G.O.S. site) - I plan on going.
Do you want to meet somewhere? Do you know when the start up time for the sisters ride is?
I like your restrictor - I tend to never go more than 5 above the speed limit. Speed limit down here is 75, and it's 85 on the toll road.
I enjoyed the ride - on the first part (Bandera to Leakey), I was in the back of the pack, number 11 of 13, with the white RS and the silver RT behind me. It was cool having the Spyders behind me. ...
Yesterday was fun - I'm still a little sore. Great time! We had five Spyders show up and do the three roads - I'm sure we turned heads.
Look up HCMR (Hill Country Motorcycle Riders) on Meetup.com - they ride ALOT - weekly rides on Thursday, others on Saturday and Sunday and different levels (beginning, medium and advanced).
Look...
Oh, I would love to see a bunch of Spyders together!!
I'll be at the Exxon station in Bandera at 10:00 Saturday morning - part of the HCMR ride (Hill Country Motorcycle Riders) - they are starting at the Helotes Exxon station at 9:00 (9:15 ksu).
Hope...
This is a great ride - I'll be at Koyote Ranch on the weekend of the 15th, if you over here at that time. Always do the Twisted Sisters then (and get a new shirt at the Frio shop, near the beginning...
Welcome to the world of three wheels! You will find that it's fun to ryde in any weather! The only time I don't ryde is when it's raining on the way to the garage. All other weather is fair game. ...
This works very well - I have one too!
During the cooler months, I wear a heavy hoodie under my jacket. I keep the hoodie part up, which keeps my hair from flying around. I'll wear a lighter...
Hate the cold. I only rode eight days in February. It was a bit nippy this morning (slight mist lower 50's), but it was in the upper 80's on the way home. Took my baby girl to the dealership for...
Awesome write-up!
A couple of notes --
a) The RS doesn't have much trunk space (granted, more than a two wheel that doesn't have saddlebags). I usually keep a blanket in there, my rain gear and I...
Well - seems to me that any Iron Butt ride is not a casual thing - takes endurance no matter what you ride/ryde. When I brought it up (that I want to do this) to the group, no one said, "oh, no you...
I like the idea of the sheepskin, and I'll check out the Walmart gel. I think the gas stops might be the best bet. I know I can get 140 out of a tank, but I plan on riding with several riders, and...
Me too?
I couldn't find the page. Thanks!
Never mind! Found the page and requested joining. Yea!!!
ge
Thanks! I think I'll go get the gel pack thingie. I do like riding my girl, and will pick up longer and longer rides, until I find out when my butt gives out.:yikes:
I rode a MP3-Piaggio for awhile (cute scooters), but when I started having mechanical problems, I sold it back to Vespa via the lemon laws. I didn't like being without a ride, but wasn't sure what I...
Wonderful story!
The only question I have for you is ... why haven't you been down to Texas yet? We have some wonderful roads - come on down, and I'll show you the Twisted Sisters (three awesome...
I haven't been on for awhile (was having issues with posting, and been super busy)...
Question - I am very interested in doing a saddlesore (the first step in being an Iron Butt member). I have...
Just about did that one....
Joe was looking for the kick start. He was not amused... it's early...
How do you kick start?
I will take all the suggestions and work on her in the morning - thank you to all! I'm not sure how to get at the battery, but have the manual online.
I already promised...
Okay, killer switch was off (I turned it on, to show my husband the difference).
The battery is fine, as far as I can tell - we put a 'trickle' on the bike for 30 minutes today, but there was no...
Help!
Today was a super day - warm (in the upper 40's) and no rain in the forecast. I bundle up and go out, but my baby won't start.
Unfortunately, the dealership is closed for the holidays, so...
I cant find it...
I love it out here - my drive/ryde to work every day is from outside Bandera, to near Seaworld (about 30 miles). I get passed a lot, but I'm comfortable with the ride. You are just going to have...
sounds awesome . I will do that - maybe this sunday
...I can pick up 1604 at highway 16, and go from there . thanks ! I'll let you know how it turns out .
