So I was under my 2018 RTL looking at the sprocket/pulley. It looks clean. But under the sprocket there was a splined shaft with nothing on it. I am assuming that shaft is for the manual shifter...
So can anyone lead me to a video on changing the front sprocket/pulley on a Spyder RT? Not an F3.
Please!
I was unable to find a video on removing the front pulley on the Spyder. Only on the F3. Is there a video instructions for the 2018 Spyder? I'd like to take a look at the splines before I put too...
My 2018 is on the list. By the end of June they will have a plan in place for fixing the problem. But not yet.
I just ordered 165/60/15 Vredestein tires for my 2018 Spyder Lt.
My 2018 Roadster operator's guide recommends:
Premium unleaded gasoline with an AKI octane rating of 91, or an Ron octane rating of 95.
I follow the recommendations of the manufacturer .
Ok fellows, thanks for the encouragement ! I'll take your advice and ride more.
Just like a Harley and other bikes when I start the 2018 and put it in first gear it makes a heck of a noise. Clank! or Knock! Is there a way to make it more quiet? My oil is fresh by the way.
Same as scarecrow. Batteries plus. Save a buck with military discount! On the road again. Right down the street from me.
All taken care of! Mission accomplished. Thanks!
Yuasa is stock and is the best. I'll just wait until a find a Yuasa. Thanks.
I'm staying near Daytona. Where is the best place to buy a replacement battery for the 2018 Spyder? Nearby and least expensive. Thanks.
73 here. If after giving your used spyder a thorough ride test, and you're still uncomfortable you may need alignment or a set of tires. The previous owner sold it for some reason. No big deal. ...
I agree with crusin Texas.
I think most people are unaware of the decrease in cognitive abilities in the cold. And that's too bad.
Fellows! The machine is designed and made in Canada. Maybe a spark plug socket works just fine. But is not the correct tool. Metric tools in Canada.
Yes, well my cousin says thanks. We both live in Ohio and we're here in Florida on vacation. It's a darned good thing he had the spare with him! Not locked up in the safe at home.
I had to have...
My cousin's key got broken in the washing machine. The machine ate the metal part that goes into the keyhole. He has the top chip part.
Can he order a new key online or from the dealer?
Can...
So you have a new Spyder with only 2500 miles in four years? I would wonder why the first owner sold it. Did it handle poorly for them? I concur that the wind sucks but suspect the need for a sway...
Thanks. I feel a lot better after you guys patted me on the head!
Well, ok. I'll put it out of my mind until I drive 1000 miles and arrive with an empty trailer. Then we can give it a try!
Seriously, the 2011 was very tight too but I was happy because I didn't...
Well here is where I'm at: I escape winter by hauling my 2011 RT on a 5.5 foot trailer. However I stored it in a shed this last trip. While here in Florida I traded the 2011 in on a 2018 RT-L. ...
Tango and Arion: So that's the overall dimension? Not just to the outside of the tires, but includes the fenders?
I usually haul my 2011 Spyder RT on a 5.5 wide TSC aluminum trailer when I haul it from Ohio to Florida in January. I just bought a 2018 Spyder RT Limited. I assume it is exactly the same width. ...
Report back: Went to Seminole Power Sports in Sanford, Florida. They had a nice 2018 RT Limited. So I up-graded. They took my bike on trade. It's a new platform for me. Hey, it's not as hot! ...
Safecracker- It's not the fluid low. It's c1282. Low pressure switch .
Copper: I actually already have a 9am appointment Friday to put it on the computer. At the dealer in Daytona.
After...
Well thank you very much Snowbelt! I'm your neighbor from Deerfield. I enjoyed your Geauga fair. I'll report back when I know something.
Mikey: You are reading correct- one pump and the pedal is up. I don't know about the air but I didn't open any lines but that's what it feels like. Maybe I added a tablespoon of fluid to fill the...
Little over 10,000 miles. I changed the brake fluid a bit more than two years ago. The brake pads are fine but the fluid could really need a change. But I'm on vacation and that's why I asked if...
