I found that wearing good earplugs makes the sound go away.
Many do earbuds under helmet - both wireless and wired. If you run an intercom you can plug in directly. Or go wireless w/Bluetooth to use your media player, GPS or phone. Ideally, you should look...
If you haven't already done so, replace the Cat with a cat-delete pipe. It's a space heater!
++1 on the Airhawk or WildAss air cushion! I've been using them for many years and never get Swamp-A$$ or sore back. I'm 75 and had back surgery in 1990 and my typical day of riding is 6-8 hours in...
Take a ride over to Revzilla in So. Philly. They usually have plenty of lids to try on and their prices are fair.
Enjoy the new adventure! Take it slow for awhile while you un-learn how to ride a motorcycle!
I have a lead hand so I'm happy to get ~30 MPG on my RT Base using (mostly) 89. I measure my enjoyment by G-forces, not MPG.
Mike, FWIW, the OP posted this in Apr 2021. Doesn't appear she ever came back since this thread.
But from what I've read on this forum, you are probably looking at a left handlebar switch module...
:congrats: Nice looking buggy!
For the record, I don't knock anyone else's choice of tires (or whatever). My comment above was based on personal experience. It became clear that the Kendas have poor traction when cornering at...
The fact that it is a KENDA is all the information I needed to avoid the brand. I went with Vredestein Quattro because they stick the best in all temps & wet.

I found the sweet spot on my '20 RT doesn't noticeably change as speed changes. Pretty much set and forget. Only time I lower it is for slow riding in heat.
I copied Monk's installation using a Shad 40l case. Total cost for the Shad and BRP rear deck was less than $600.

Since there's no spring, what is the risk of breaking the base with the stiff antenna?
Hopefully, BRP fixed the soft paint issue since 2020. The paint scratches and chips very easily on the 20s. I chose white because the marks don't show up as much as the darker colors.
+100 on riding with a satellite tracker (Garmin is best). You will be in many areas with no cell service and the tracker lets you send texts and will show where you are along the way to whoever you...
Maybe I shouldn't admit this but when we ride the BRP, we rarely move at less than 50mph. Passing the flower-sniffers is fairly easy unless you get stuck behind a caravan of slowpokes. Then passing...
The Smokies are my favorite eastern playground. Excellent roads and very friendly people. I've done the TOD several times, including at night in the rain in late December. It's a Bucket List item but...
They help 'a little'. More air on legs but only a small amount on torso. Removing the cat may be more effective to reduce heat, especially in stop & go/ slow rolling.
Welcome to your change of life! Start easy till you get your sea-legs, read this forum's tips for new reverse trike riders, and learn what works or not.
I'm sure some of the 'elders' here will...
My label is, "American Citizen". An old piece of paper gives me the right to state my own opinion on all topics and to keep & bear arms - among several others just as important. You are welcome to...
You mean swinging from a rope? :banghead:
Can you buy a 4-wheel (car) set? The only downside is remembering which sender is on which tire/air bag.
100% agree with the value of the Uniden R series. The best solution to be notified is to connect a low voltage LED to the speaker output. You can buy one from Marc Parnes or assemble your own. No...
MOTORCYCLE GPS is purpose-built for the task. It's weatherproof, glove-friendly, and durable and doesn't get shaken to death.
I'm not sure that's an accurate assessment. Low RPMs doesn't mean better gas mileage. The 'load' is the key. I watched the instant MPG cruising at steady speed and the engine was happier at 3000 than...
I went with the Lamonster solution. Simple fix and the mirrors are rock-solid.
I'm set up the same On my '20 RT. The tune adds a few MPH to the top end and adds some acceleration which helps in trying to keep up with my Beemer Buds off the curves. It comes at the cost of losing...
3000 is my low end with 35-3700 usual for cruising but the engine feels more ready to go at 4000+. If in traffic I'm at 4000 if a hasty maneuver is needed.
