Go with the original. Bajaron.
I have a 2016 F3L and I like the lower gearing. Why switch?
I just rode a 2021 RT at a Demo Day event a couple weeks ago. It did have a whine like described above. If I had one I'm sure I would get used to it. It may just take some miles for the belt to wear...
I changed the oil in my 2019 Ryker at 1500 miles. Oil looked fine. I also have a 2020 Zong Shen (CSC) tt250. I changed the oil at 100 miles because of the dirt fear and had it analyzed. The oil was...

I use Hotwired heated gear from Cycle Gear. I use 12 volt jacket liner and gloves. I do not feel “tied down” to the bike when I use them. The wires slide apart if you forget to unplug them....
Wear hi viz gear.
Oil is NOT acid.
No, oil does not go bad over winter. It has anti-acid additives.

No need to change the oil. It will be fine.
Hot? Check this forcast.

So what does this have to do with the Spyder? Made in Canada.
Here's an interesting show from Blackstone Labs.

You need the 10W40 Metric Motorcycle Oil.
Hard to believe your 10W40 Amsoil shears down to a 20W. I have tested it at 9,600 miles and it was still a 40W.

I ran Mobil 1 4T for 8,600 miles and it was okay but the viscosity was a little lower.
[QUOTE=troop;1531882]I'd really like to see an oil analysis of Amsoil/M1 10w40 or Castrol 10w50 after a BRP stated 9000 mile run time. Has anybody ran their oil I ran the Amsoil for 9,666 miles and...
Did you check the oil?
Most spyders from the factory are in a toe out condition. The reason laser alignment works so well is it aligns all 3 wheels to roll in the same direction.
Nope.
Never had that problem when I lived in Pa. I went to independent shops for motorcycle inspections. Sounds like your dealer is telling a story.
Sorry but I lived in PA until 2014, ran car tires had my Spyder inspected. Never a problem. All they looked at was how much tread was on the tires. RED HERRING!
32,000 miles on a stock 2016 F3L no heat on the right side.
Take a long ride so the bike is thoroughly warmed up then check it.
I guess we were lucky without knowing it but our 2016 F3L came with the lower gearing.
What pressures are you using?
When my Rally is due for front tires I’ll probably try the 175 width. The fenders look like they could be spaced back a little to fit the wider tires.
