Those new fenders do look cool. Might have to see about retrofitting when I finally get my divorce paid off.:gaah:
I have an '08 GS that I've put 58k+ mi on with no heat issues. Even made a few 500 and 600 mi trips in 105F heat with no issues....other than getting stuck in down town Dallas "rush hour" traffic in...
Probably is some other issue, but I didn't have a whole lot of luck with that bulb either. Too much vibration for the bulb filament to last very long. Recommend trying to mod to LED light or I've...
Took off the back wheel to change the tire and discovered that the wheel hub bearing and the sprocket bearing had "wallowed" out where they were supposed to be press fit. Didn't think to take...
Thought of some other pertinent info after I posted this. Years don't mean a whole lot with a tire. :opps: Back tire has 12000+ mi on it.
Also, had new DPS installed very soon after they became...
Went on a weeks vacation and was pretty busy. Plus my computer got jacked to be used for crossword puzzle answer look up by my brother and mom. :banghead:
Thought of this the first time it happened, so have paid more attention. Don't do anything different between the times it does oscillate and the times it doesn't. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the tip. Got to looking myself and started noticing that it seems like the left front has more "give" in the shock than the right. They are both set to the same setting though. I was...
52,000 since Aug '09. Used to ride 80 mi a day round trip to and from work. A little closer now, so mileage accrual slowed way down.
600 mi Amarillo, TX to Houston, TX; stock seat, 2" factory riser. Should add 105F heat from about Childress, TX on. Bike never overheated, but got stuck in "rush" hour traffic in Dallas and almost...
In some places the Lemon Law only applies if it is the same component/system that keeps failing. He might have a case with the transmission, but even then, some states require it to be the exact same...
I have searched this forum for a bit and couldn't find anything about this issue I'm having. When I am above 60mph, drop into 4th to pass someone, and roll on the throttle quickly, my '08 Spyder...
Thanx!
Could be. :D
I'm trying to install a SuperTrapp muffler on my bike and have been doing some experimenting. Unfortunately, in the process I damaged that gasket, which at the time didn't bother...
Nope, that's for the Y-pipe. The one I'm looking for is the collector to the muffler.
Thanx though.
Has anyone found a "replacement" gasket for the stock muffler install? Or am I going to have to go through BRP? I went searching through old threads and didn't see anything.
Thanx.
The vast majority of my trip is highway so I am running 77mph which equates to approximately 5600rpm, but something I'll keep in mind.
I have already noticed the lights dim when I turn the...
but in a post on Jan. 05 I had ridden 6,699 miles. I have since ridden another 10,102.
That is definitely a thought. I hope not, but it is entirely possible. If that is the case, figures it would happen to me.
I never use a battery tender. Ride it every day too and from work, 40...
I keep telling myself that, but the question keeps nagging at me. Thanks for reinforcing my thought process.
Yeah, I wasn't planning on just accepting a reset this time.
I had been wondering...
Sounded like they had/were having a fun trip. Hope they made it home safely.

Probably didn't look in the right place, but I couldn't find that when I was replacing my tires and was contemplating Ride On or just balance it and deal with the weights.
Had the same thing with my bike and it was only halfway between Max and Min.
Just Google "TX lemon laws" and it will get you to the requirements needed to try and lemon law it. Good luck, I think mine is out of the initial mileage limits.
Took my bike in for the "trying to pull the handlebar straight" issue and dealer received the recall that night. He had to wait on parts because recall was so new, but he told me mine was first in...
Mine was mid way between "full" and "min" (or whatever they are marked), but after top off, no more fail messages. Evidently at that level, under hard braking or cornering, the fluid sloshes and...
Time to find a new dealer....that one has its priorities allllll hosed up!
in below freezing conditions as in single digit or below zero degrees Fahrenheit? Would like to know how it behaves in those conditions.
