generally, we will use thinner TP in the camper since it breaks down quicker in the blue water.
we trailered 2 RT's last year on our own trailer.
but just as a reference we used a 16 foot open utility trailer and it was tight (but it worked). so if you rent one, I would recommend at least 18...

just to be safe. I have the 2016 RT special series that has the fancy black chrome (or whatever they call it) wheels. is it safe to use it on them?
I would say that's a personal preference(I know that doesn't help), if you do cover it, you would need a cover made for trailering. just for input, if I was to tailer mine I would do it uncovered...
