I also have to cast a vote for the Airhawk - I bought one in Daytona on Friday after a grueling 2 1/2 hour ride to get there. I know this isn't a long ride but I was miserable by the time we got...
3 flat black Spyders come together to form a chick-bot called "Arcee".
OH PLEASE! ;) I waited 8 MONTHS to get mine and was lucky to get it when I did. And there are a lot of people out there who waited longer than that. Yeah it SUCKS!!!!! It's worse than any Christmas...
Yes - they have a facility in Melbourne Florida, south of Daytona. They did extensive testing here with the Spyder prototypes.
I would hate to be this guys friend! I know someone like this and he is an absolute pain in the :edit: This guy just couldn't be more wrong if he tried.
I would think that would be very dangerous for the nose - might rip the front airdam off. I would think a flatbed would be a much safer (maybe the only safe) alternative.
Does anyone out there know if any parts companies make a "mechanical advantage" clutch lever? Something with a mechanism similar to the jaws on a pair of bolt cutters? It seems to me that something...
Yeah - I thought of that too. "Scorpyon" looks funny! ;D
I can't help but think - why did BRP go with the Spyder name when the Scorpion seems much more fitting? The "Y" architecture looks much more like a Scorpion than a Spyder, and there are already...
SWEET!!! Nothing wrong with a little chrome on the upper and lower controls - adds a bit of flair without looking too gawdy.
Very nice DD.
Those look great! mmmmrrfff - yet another mod I must have! My list is getting out of hand.
:congrats: and :welcome:
I'm in Central Florida - we should organize a Florida ryde - maybe to the Keys or to the Cape to watch a shuttle launch? Or decend En Mass on Biketoberfest!!
"THE WAIT".....Yes "The Wait" is absolutely EXCRUCIATING!!! I waited 8 months for mine and was lucky to get it earlier than expected (long story). All I can say is - it is absolutely worth it! Every...
 :a20:!!!! We need a smiley with liquid shooting out his nose! This is exactly why I love this site so much - you guys kill me!!
PS. Napalmseth - love the name! You must be an aging 80's...
Black. Deffinitely black.
Nice! Looks good!
:agree: YES! - Which brings us back to sacrificing reverse for a 6th forward gear!! I for one would jump at this since reverse is really more of a conversation piece anyway.
I would deffinitely like some more info on this - my crappy looking axle nuts were one of the first things I noticed would need fixed/replaced on my Spyder.
Apparently the speed governor only applies to the demo models - the production models are only limited to wind resistance.
I deffinitely need to take mine in also - it is not broken but sometimes takes 12 or 15 kicks to get it to catch. Can be embarrassing when people are around.
I've even had people roll their window down and yell questions at me at 60 mph while I'm cruising along with my full-face helmet on!! The Spyder is just sooo different and odd to some people that...
I've heard about other Police departments considering the Spyder. It would make perfect sense, especially with saddle bags to carry extra gear and electronics that officers need and use. I would love...
:welcome: First of all, get ready for the worst dose of frustrated anticipation of your life! For me the wait for a Spyder was worse than any Christmas I can remember!! But it is well worth it!...
OK - I've had it with feeling like I'm behind a tornado when I ride. I'm ready to put something on my Spyder that will do more than just keep the bugs off the back of my gauge cluster. I'm ready to...
I also have the outdoor cover and was very impressed with the fit and features of this product. Well worth the 150 bucks. I am looking into a larger windshield and was afraid my cover wouldn't fit...
I live in northern Polk County now but grew up in Tampa.
That's awesome Derwin - just remember to take it slow when you get your Spyder. This is an incredible machine and you will love it IMEDIATELY. It is quite easy to ride and you will get used to it...
I haven't bought any big ticket items for the Spyder itself, but my dealer has been giving me a 10% discount on any gear I buy. They probably do that for any bike purchase though.

I hate to say it - but you got screwed. I had read about similar stories and was worried my dealer might try the same crap. I gotta hand it too them though, they were straight up and honest about it....
