I note you are driving a 2010 RT. Those first couple years did have some issues with the arms on the windshields breaking. It had something to do with the casting. Have not heard much since 2012...

Your wearing it while you are "breaking it in" is a good idea. Most helmets will seem tight at first. They stretch a bit to take on the shape of your head. Our last helmets Bell/Mag 9 seemed tight...
