Take the time the test drive all the models. They vary quite a bit in feel and handling. Spyders are a great choice to extend your riding life. Welcome to the forum. Lots of good information here.
Took my first ride on an older RS in a parking lot. Didn't like it. Thought it was hard to steer and felt like I couldn't turn at more that 3 mph with getting pulled off.
A year later took a...
Consider adding the Baharon Sway Bar and a laser alignment. Since I did those two things I am able to handle curves faster and with less effort.
I would have hired him on the spot and put him in charge of customer support.
I read somewhere that the 2014 STS has Fox racing shocks and the STL has different, softer shocks. Any body else know anything about that?
Wish I had known sooner…
When I got my Spyder ST-L in June, I knew I had a learning curve ahead of me. Months later I was better but disappointed to still be struggling with holding the bike in...
Do the STS and the STL have different shocks?
Anybody know of a half cover that will fit over a ST-L that has the passenger backrest and the ISCI armrests?
When you had the laser alignment done, how far out was your alignment?
Is checking the belt tension important to the laser alignment?
Is the laser alignment something that lasts or do you need to redo it every time you hit a bump?
Have you tried adding a backrest and armrests? Makes passenger feel very safe.
Bought those armrests for our STL. Love them!
I use to be afraid of motorcycles, but I love our Spyder. I feel very safe and relaxed as the passenger. It took a few rides to get me to let go of the death grip on the handles, but one day I just...
We have an ST. You sit a bit further back on the RT. I think the ST actually has more room for two.
Sometimes we ride two up on one bike and other times we ride on two separate bikes. Looking for a communication system that lets us do both. Been trying to work with Chatterbox but something always...
You will love your STL. The more you ride the more fun it becomes. Congrats! And you picked a very eye catching color. They say cars hit motorcycles because the drivers just don't see the...
Finding some new 2014 RTs at great prices. Is the 2015 improved enough that you would recommend spending more for the newer model?

It worked! Thanks.
You know the old joke - in Wisconsin we have two seasons, winter and road repair. They are tarring all the roads up here in the north west part of the state now as well.

Sold.
We love to travel in our RV, towing the Spyder in a trailer. We pick a spot to camp for a week and then use the Spyder to day trip the area driving scenic road and check out cute small towns.

Don't know why, but after we added the armrests the back support felt ok. Really enjoying being a passenger now - not as much as being the rider, but must be willing to share the fun.;)
I just created a "custom route" by touching points on the map view. A bit tedious but let me set up the exact and somewhat complicated route I wanted to try. Nice feature.
Found it. If you wait a couple of seconds before you press the green "GO" button to start you route, a gray box pops out to the left of "GO". Press that box and you can get to the steps and you can...
My STL came with a Garmin Zumo 660. In Automobile mode I can get a list of the steps it plans to take on the suggested route by touching the top of the screen. When I change to Motorcycle mode,...
If your folks want to ride together, but are not going to do a lot of long distance touring, they might want to look at the ST. We added the factory backrest and aftermarket armrests for the...
I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread, but it was kind of like passing a wreck on the highway. You know you are going to see something awful but you just can't help yourself from slowing...
