It's taken me a year to get comfortable. Lighter grip is true. I'm old and slow and avoid interstates if I can and haven't been over 70 and probably won't. It's hard to unlearn fifty years of habits,...

I'm old and don't understand why any of this is important. Only had my radio on once by accident and had to keep pushing buttons until it quit. Don't use the GPS either, did plug it in once but it's...
Understand, it is a pain for an old man!
I probably would have never known it, only have had my radio on once and that was a mistake trying to reset the trip meter. Don't know how I got it off, just kept messing with it.
Hope you like it. Hard to believe someone would go from Texas to Connecticut, not enough money in the world for that.
We're about an hour south of disney so I know the back roads of central Fl, don't forget the gators.
I hope so too, but the outlook doesn't look good to me. Happy New Year to all.
Saw a couple of Spyders and a couple of Rykers yesterday while riding southeast of Tampa. Perfect day for riding, little windy but not cold or wet.
I just lay mine crossways across the seat and use bungee cords, have done that with several bikes over the years.
Rode mine a couple of days ago for about 90 miles. Went out today and absolutely nothing. Seems I had parked the car a little closer and the spare key was in the car, was thinking I would have to...
Was riding yesterday and thought of something that I haven't seen brought up. For those that have rode two wheels many years is the width of the front wheels, easy to forget they're out there.A...
I'm in the same boat. Have been riding 50+ and old habits are hard to break. The problem I'm having is not getting out enough, bought our Spyder in April I think and haven't put a thousand miles on it...
I'm pretty much in the same boat, not as smooth as I would have thought. Old habits are hard to break. I'm just not getting out enough.
Work great. Would recommend a drop of superglue because both of mine came apart while riding.
Only have the Spyder and don't think I can switch back and forth. Had the Spyder about two months now and haven't got used to the difference yet, not riding often enough. At least I have quit putting...
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to hit the horn, feel a little better.
Before I bought mine and was looking I saw some in the Tampa area without fenders. Doesn't make sense to me, I'm old and don't like to get wet. Somewhat a fair weather rider, don't leave home in the...
Also have a Bear Tracks trailer, pulls very well. Not much clearance on the front of our '15 RTL. had to raise the front of the trailer and put a board under the ramp.
Fifty+ years on two wheels so understand the learning curve, at least I've quit trying to put my foot down. Some of the automatic stuff is a little harder to unlearn. Not getting out enough for...
Have carried clubs crossways for years on other bikes, plan to on the Spyder.
Would agree that a modular is the way to go. One of my problems was forgetting to take my glasses off when I pull the full face off.
Looks good, very good match.
I'm happy you people are posting all this information. Some of the guys I ride have communication systems on their bikes and I thought it might be useful. After reading some of these posts I am...
Welcome. Also been riding 50+ years. Had mine a couple of weeks now, there is a learning curve if you've been riding a while.
Since I've only had mine a couple of weeks still trying to stay on my side of the road.
Know what you mean. Cleaned the front of the Spyder yesterday an washed the car. So bad here can't hardly get inside without them coming with you. Planning to head up the road Saturday and I don't...
Have a '15 RTL. It has been pretty windy. Been riding a long time so understand that I may be some things wrong just out of old habits. Trucks seem to move the bike around more than I would have...
New to Spyders and have put about 300 miles on mine and I am surprised at how the wind effects it. Has been pretty windy for most of my riding and have been moved around quite a bit. It is larger...
Saw a Ryker Friday, 4/30, In Port Charlotte, Fl. May be the first one I've seen that's not at a dealer. Know it's not a Spyder but the same family, sort of. In an over 55 park when in Fl with 5...
Good job. Have an RT and use the passenger floorboard to get on, no pain just easier for an old man. Think with a F3 I would have to do the same thing.
