Excellent answer Ron.
The old adage says "If it ain't broke-don't fix it".
You gotta love a dog that enjoys joy riding on a Spyder.
Go for it. I like the blue idea.
Driver probably went to go shoplifting after that. In so many states, as long as it's under $999, it's no big deal and no prosecution will occur. Crazy times we live in.
Lamonster has an oil change video on his website. That'll help you out.
Ron,
Before we close out this thread, Thanks again for the raffle. Even us "losers" enjoyed putting a chance in the hat.
That couldn't possibly be a factory job.
As one of the more respected people on this site, Thanks for all you contribute to help people out. Nice of you to add a little fun by doing this.
Checked with my dealer. They said the 12v cow magnets are on back order.
Weird, but kinda cool none the less. Looks like it was well done.
I've had a Rugged Geek for a couple of years. Works great. Started other people's cars, pickups, lawn tractor and my Spyder. Guess everybody has their own experience and luck with any given product.
It's like the old adage says:
"If I've gotta explain, you wouldn't understand."
Style is purely subjective. Certainly true, but what's most important is that you are happy with them and are out enjoying riding your Spyder more. That's why we're all here.
Good idea.
Wow! And I thought oil and tire threads were bad.
Nailed it Navydad.
Precise distance doesn't matter. Motohorn is plenty loud.
robtdonna, How about a nice close -up pic of that install. I've got a F3 Special Series with the orange frame and can't do the clamps either. Thx.
Chrome won't get you home, but don't count on black to get you back.
Thankfully my Guardian Angel is used to haulin' ass.
I have to say, I get more waves from Harley riders while on my F3 than ever did on my Indian Vintage.
Four letters isn't easy. As the old song goes "All of the good ones are taken". Ended up with SPDR here in IL.
Very cool - Even funnier if it was being pulled by a Boss Hoss.
Your friends are correct. The gauge of the wires is terrible. Cheapest, thinnest available. I looked at one the wrong way before installation and the wire came apart. SlingMods sent out a replacement...
Don't remember the exact amount, but it's triple or more to replace a Spyder piece by piece - per dealer when we were talking about the prices of a couple of clips.
F3Ts must be different than the F3S. I have a '20 and Lamonster's video instructions were spot on.
What model does the adapter fit?
I have a '20 F3. Last time I looked at the J&S site, they only showed a discontinued adapter for the RT.
Lamont,
Did you get to take that V8 Chopper out for a spin?
Go to Youtube for several videos of Tim Cotterill's "Rocket II" trike.:doorag:
