Plain to see your problem, don't know right from left.
Your pic shows the left side of the bike
The exhaust header on the left side,
The belt drive on the left side.
Now which leg goes on that...

Just ran this thread by the missus, who is familiar with my mate, and who has also been on the back of the Spyder a lot of the time that I was riding it.

hes just come home in an ambulance, hes bandaged thigh to toe after a skin graft for a 4th degree burn...

Tommo sustained 4th degree burns and is currently recovering after a skin graft in Brisbane Hospital.

I did a search after posting, a search on heat problems and there seems to be some concern on the earlier models and talk of fans and heat deflectors.

A bit over 5000kms in 2 months Spyder ryding!
Really got the hang of it now!

The one I'm ryding has a swaybar fitted.
Also I've cranked up the preload on the front shocks to maximum and it's now pulling g's through bends.

MA covers the parameters if both 1 and 2
MA is the recommended oil not MA2
you put what you like in though...

Yeah over 100,000 kms on my Victory belt, the last 50,000 with a central stone hole, if damage is central at cool but if it's on the edge you're on borrowed time.

So oil and engine filter is extended, but trans filter comes back from 20,000 kms to 7500 too hey....

checked manual for2010 Spyder RS...under maintenance schedule
Engine oil and filter Every 5000 km
Trans filter every 20,000 km or 2 years.

but its 10-40 and the manual specifies 5-40.
also JASO MA can be split into JASO MA 1 and JASO MA 2, now one and two both cover two different areas whereas JASO MA without numbers actually cover...

Over a month now and still got a sore left wrist from where I landed on it.
Tommos arms still in a cast.
I really got the hang of riding this thing now.
Dunno if Tommo will get the hang of riding...

Filled last night after 230 kms fuel light came on and stayed on.
Took just under 18 litres to fill:-)
