Mine is out but currently torn apart for a 20k mile valve check and a new oil sensor. Hopefully I'll get it buttoned back up on Sunday.

Thanks guys, I ordered the pressure switch since it was only $10. I have to get the bike to the dealer to have recall work done so I'll have them hook it up to BUDS and check the software as well....
Sometimes the oil pressure light will stay on after I start my Spyder. If I shut it off and restart it the light will go out. Any thoughts? I have a 2009 SM5 with around 19,000 miles. Oil is full and...
Mine was really bad like that until I did the front end alignment. Now it handles the best it ever has. Maybe something to look into.
Mine runs more bars after getting the cluster update, I think they just changed the ratio of bars to degrees. Bike doesn't run any different.
That is, I never saw five bars except on hot summer...
Well, good news is I found my lost key under a pile of crap in my office! I guess after reading the cost and experiences here I'll be sure to keep a much closer watch on my Spyder keys.
Thanks all!
Has anyone had a spare key made for the Spyder? Know what I should expect to pay? I've called my dealer and they are looking into it, they haven't had anyone else request a key for the Spyder yet. I...
If you are still in the warranty period this needs to be covered. You need to call and talk to Carlo on this one.
Like the others I keep my foot pointed out just to the right of the brake. It's a quick move back to the brake if I need it. Like in a car, you don't keep your foot over the brake (at least I don't),...
My dealer said he only gets one unit at a time and he has 30 of us to work through. He said at this point some of us won't get the new unit until next year because once his snowmobile service picks...
Can they legally hold your vehicle hostage? In the letter to the owners BRP doesn't advise the vehicle not be driven, only that you should be aware of the potential issues.
Basically if you have a Spyder built before Aug 19, 2010 it is effected. RT and RS.
I agree, I'm not going to be in a huge rush. Actually, I expect my dealer will call me to schedule the work as they did with the first recall.
I know you said you had the canister replaced, but did you also have the new vent hose installed? I used to smell gas on hot days before I had mine done, but after the new vent was put on I haven't...
I have this tire, but not pics of it right now, I can snap one later and post it. I'm not seeing much better tread life, but a bit better. I replaced my stocker with around 7500 miles, I'm almost at...
My riding season will be done mid-November, but I'll be one of the last ones on the road and I'll have to wear my snowmobile gear, especially on the way to work in the morning. It's all good though,...
I'm really hopeful this will put this issue to rest. I've actually had a couple of instances with mine that made me question whether or not I had a DPS issue. Both times I was taking a right hander...
Looks like letters start going out after the 15th. Hopefully I can get mine in before the end of riding season so I can be all ready to roll come Spring.
If yours has come back multiple times I'd definitely get it checked. As for mine, it hasn't happened again so I'm just gonna let it slide. My only recurring issue is a "Brake Failure" message going...
I find mine reads faster than I'm actually going. The other day one of those road side "you are going this fast" signs had me at 74 and I had 78 on the speedo.
I was 360lbs when I first got my Spyder last July and the weight was really not an issue. I turned the shocks up all the way and it handled great. I even has a 180lb passenger on once for a short...
Was turning a corner (one street to another) and hit a rough patch in the road. After hitting the rough patch I noticed that the stability control light was still illuminated on the dash and I now...
Thanks, from 360 to 280, still have 120 to go to hit my "ideal" weight range. At 5'8" I was/am quite overweight.
I have the comfort seat on mine and I'm pretty happy with it now. When I first got it last July I was 80 lbs heavier than I am now and I find that the more weight I lose the better the seat feels. I...
I'm running the Dunlop Direzza in 185/60-14 on the front of my Spyder. I have the Yoko in stock size on the rear. Very happy with the way these tires handle and look. I only had to bend the left...
Just did mine today. I've been running Amsoil 10w-40 since 3000 miles. I have almost 11,000 now. No problems. When I took the drain out today there weren't any shavings on the magnet at all.
I work with a lady who immigrated from Quebec and she's good people so I think it's totally worth it.
Yeh, figured that out, deleted my other post. I've only seen the Tri and Stop Me which is what you're probably talking about as the RS Model.
I usually get right in at my dealer, within a couple days and parts are almost always delivered next day or two day. It's a small shop and we are close to Quebec so that might have something to do...
These look great I would definitely buy a set.
