I don't sorry I did manage to get to it in the end,I had to remove the rear fuse box from the bracket on the frame and move some wires about so I could get a 10ml ring spanner through a small gap...

Exhaust and bike all back together,no leaks no ticking no problems SORTED!!! quick lunch break then off out for a wee test ride HAPPY DAYS :)

Does it make any difference to top end speed?Yes the single joint behind the back tyre had a small leak

Mine had a small leak there before I stripped it down,it is a tight fit so can't see how you could get a gasket in there

Yes I have those Yazz thanks,in the manual there is a third gasket which is the one we were talking about.It is where the Y pipe joins the Hindle in front of the back wheel,on a stock pipe the gasket...

Were on about the gasket that joins the Hindle to the Y pipe or the one there isnt for an aftermarket exhaust ;)

Says in the manual there is?? am guessing with the standard pipe there was but not with the Hindle:dontknow:

Just stripped my exhaust to do this very job,here's what's left of the left side gasket91121 I would post the right sided one but it GONE :) here's the Honda one 91123 I seem to be missing the gasket...

My bike does not not look ugly :L even with the spokes not lined up ;)

Test ride today around 120 mls no problems and a smoother ride with the car tyre on the back so well happy.£125 to get tyre fitted,tail tidy bought and fitted and parking brake adjusted so not too...

Green manual?? I have a manual on a disc which I gave to the lad but he did say it wasn't much help :)

The lad has offered to fix it next time it's in as I am waiting on a gasket for the exhaust coming from the States so will be here in the next week or so.Problem is no ones worked on Spyders over...

Just had a new back tyre fitted and it was pointed out to me that the spokes on the sprocket don't line up with the spokes on the wheel,can anyone tell me if this will do it any harm please?90714

No not yet,does anyone know where I could purchase a set of gaskets for a Hindle 08 GS? Lad from work said just use fire gum but I would rather have new gaskets

Got rid of the broken frame over the back wheel,not perfect but will do until I sort another rear fender out :)

About 90% sure I have found the problem........exhaust gaskets leaking,will investigate more another day but am off out for a blast as it's a cracking day :) Also managed to make something of the...

:) if I can't find it am going to have a mechanic have a look just to be on the safe side

Rear fenders the common problem Ron,sorry reading my post again it wasn't very clear.Working all weekend but hopefully get back to it on Monday to have another look

Can't here the ticking when I rev it,starting to think am just being paranoid :L Yeh was speaking to folk on FB and it's a common fault on the 08s so trying to do something with the plastic light...

Yup I was reading the manual as I was doing it :L there was plenty oil came out Bob and I now have it just below full which is where I like it :) Things went **** up when I noticed the back mud guard...

Ok oil change done still ticking :/ also I put in the 3.9L and it was below half on the dip stick???

Sorry it's a manual,I know the sound you mean when it's cooling but this ticking is when it's running.Think I will do an oil n filter change to see if that helps,Thanks for the reply :)

Started my 08 GS yesterday and heard a ticking noise coming from the engine which am sure it wasn't doing before???Just back from a weekend ride covering 560 miles without any problems but still...
