Did you try removing the key for several minutes, then restarting? Or get the wrench out and manually take it out of first?

I wear the HJC (SY-MAXII). It is great for open-face riding or closed for highways. Also agree on the benefits of the sun shield and the ease of putting on glasses. Bulky profile though.

A few days ago, I decided to take the spyder out in 20F. Everything worked fine except that the throttle wouldn't return to neutral on it's own. It had been left out in the rain a couple of days...

Definitely the SE5. The clutch might be fun for some, but with the SE5 you still get the thrill of changing gears with less hassle.

Both times it happened it to me, it was the 'binding' kind. Once after coming out of a hard turn at 50 mph it kinked at mid-steer, and the other time while passing a semi on the interstate at 80...

As one that has experienced the steering anomaly, it seems like a hardware problem (kinking at mid steer), and not something that can be corrected through a software update.
