I bought a cat delete pipe and had it ceramic coated. I am waiting on my first service to be done this Friday before I install it.
I may also remove the exhaust pipe that runs between the cat and...
Just happened to me. Sitting dead in down town Las Vegas. Waiting on a 12mm wrench. That’s one tool that will be added to my tool kit. Thanks for all the informative posts.
I will have to stop by and see what you have done. I too have a problem with the stock turn signal indicators.
Yes, joe!
Not from what I have read on here.
Mine is due for the first service soon. I will ask them
I am headed to DynoJet tomorrow!
I will keep you updated.
I just wanted to give a shout out to Roadster Renovations.
I had the dreaded 70MPH vibration in my 2018 RTL.
After doing a lot of research on these forums it came to my attention that it was a...
I have a 2018 RTL. The only vibration that I have... or, HAD was at about 70MPH.
I just installed the Roadster Renovations vibration dampener and that completely took care of that vibration.
LOL.. Me too.. I was installing my dash cam and I was using that for my parts bay too.
A very small nut used to mount the camera do my dashboard fell into the locking mechanism and prevented the...
Went to see Joe and Ann at squared away. Got the bike aligned and the filled my head with soooo many tips and hints. Great people.
Actually. I have an appointment with him today to check my alignment. He lives about 10 minutes from me.
When I bought mine, they told I need a 600 mile “break-in” service.
The 2018 1330 in the RTL has a dry sump oil system. When you are checking the oil, you are checking it in a tank, not the crank case. so, maybe as time goes by the oil is draining slightly back into...
:2thumbs: hmmmm ... if my RTL wasn’t brand new I’d go visit them. I drive past their bldg. all the time.
Me too.. born and raised... :2thumbs:
I am in the process of manually checking my fuel mileage now. New bike on my 3rd tank. I noticed that the electronic mileage calculator says I am averaging 70MPG. I know it’s wrong but it seems to be...
When you are out on a ride and want to stop at the store, mall, or where ever, do you use the M/C parking spaces?
or regular car parking spaces?
I use the car parking spaces, so far.
Hey Blueknight911.. retired Vegas LEO here too.
Thanks for the very lengthy technical write ups.
Stay safe.
This is an older thread but it gives me the info I was looking for.
I am about 6'3 and I think that my riding position needs adjusted via the seat.
My lower legs are pointed a few degrees towards...
I saw that.. and that's an excellent idea.
Actually, it was another post with a picture of a wire attached to the latch
I got it, thanks everyone.. THere was a small bolt that fell out from a bag of bolts that was laying near the mechanism.
I was using those small bolts to mount my dash cam on the dash over the...
yes.. positive I am pushing it in..
I tried a long screwdriver to push the latch but I havent tried a coat hanger.. I will try that and see if there is something to grab.
I tried that. that was the 1st thing I did. WHen the key is turned I can hear a solenoid click from the area of the fuses.
I can pry the seat out enough to shine a light and see the latch and I can...
yes, I think you are correct about there being only one latch.. I can lift the left side up a few inches.
But the latch makes no noise when pushing in the key and turning it.
2018 RT Limited.
When I tried to open the seat to get gas, only one side unlatched.
It seems on the RTs there are 2 latches.
Only the left side is unlatching.
I tried pressing real hard while...
Ha.. mine BARELY fits one XL helmet
we have a class M (2 wheel) endorsement. Motorcycles require a helmet, but not 3 wheels.
That being said I ALWAYS wear a helmet.
A 3 wheeled motorcycle license? Interesting.
In Nevada, all you need is a regular motor vehicle license, like for a car, and no helmet is required either.
I agree on the helmet. Just yesterday I saw a couple on one bike, no helmets (not required in Nevada on a 3 wheeled machine) driving like FOOLS!
My Bell XL will not fit in either sides or rear compartments. It will fit in the frunk if there is nothing else in it.
