Take my word for this, its nice for a week or 2... then no flag & no antenna. The antenna is not made to take the stress of the extra drag from even a small flag.
And the Antenna is NOT covered...
That actually looks cool. I just wonder how much the extra weight pulls down the performance, not to mention Gas mileage. I'll stick to the Spider, dont need to get stopped in some backwater place...
Best Onion Rings I've ever had. Awesome burgers, chicken fried steak... and of course mexican food too.

I've got the Bumpskid with the LEDs embedded along the edge. Its great.
I do ride in the late evenings and it really makes the Spyder way more visible.
Congrats on the New Spyder. I ride in the SA area, usually with a group of 2-wheel friends. I haven't had a chance to link up with the Hill Country group yet. Hope to in the future.
I like the company. I wrecked my Yamaha Tour Deluxe last year. They handled everything. I had no problems with them at all.
I found these on Amazon. They work great for me. A little expensive, but they are well made & metal.

The antifreeze in my 2014 RTL is orange. The dealer explained that mixing it with the green stuff could cause harmful effects. It never got any more specific than that. Hope this helped a little.
That is an awesome ride. It's east of Los Angeles, running up and down the spine of the Sierra Nevada's. Loads of twisties & fantastic views. I road it back in the early 90's, so I'm not sure if its...

Originally from Burkburnett, TX. Up along the Red River.
Settled in San Antonio after finishing with the military.
Just getting into my Spyder, 3000mi service should be coming next month.
Funny thing is, you look at that picture, of the back, of the Slingshot.. It certainly seems like, you could actually have dual wheels back there...
I've had a Kuryakyn Tombstone bag for years, 2 wheels and now 3 wheels. It has internal support so it can act as a backrest.

Was chatting with a couple at a gas station, and he said "Wow, that thing looks like you should be riding it on the Moon!"
All I could do was chuckle and say "Thanks"

Just got back from a little 100mi scamper along the southern edge of the Texas Hill Country. Rode along TX 46, even seen another Spyder out for a stroll. Temps in the hi 50s & low 60s.. perfect for...
Had the upper left support screw back out on a ride... didn't notice it until I was doing a walkaround check for my next ride. The sheath (?) screw was still there, so I just quickly wrapped it in...

I think Texas has it right on this point. The slingshot has a cockpit that you have to get into, seatbelts, standardized automotive braking/accelerator pedals, and a steering wheel. Any of those,...
That looks great. Been meaning to get highway pegs but, like you, was worried about the position. Great Mod of a Great Farkle.
Hope you don't mind if that copied.
:agree:... Welcome to "Club Cognac"
Be awesome in orange!!
Just crossed the 2000 threshold myself this weekend. Loving it.
Sorry BRP, but I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this thing looks more like a Bulldog, than a spider.
I can hear my Spyder calling me all the time... From the garage, its whispering, "Lets go ride... come on, lets go ride."
Dern thing is in my head now. ;)
When I picked up my 2014 RT-L in September, the service manager mentioned the orange coolant was the standard for my Spyder. He warned us not to mix with the traditional green. Was easy for me.......
Perhaps BRP can make Ski Attachements for the Spyder.. then you folks with the solid rain problems could still scooter around?? J/K I can definitely understand grumbling about not being able to...
:welcome: Hope to see you out on the roads in south central Texas.
:welcome: Welcome to the site and to owning a Spyder.
My 2014 RT-L does pull to the right if I pull back from the handles for a moment. I haven't had the chance to get a laser alignment done yet. Hoping to wait til between 2000 & 2500 miles, see if it...
Great Job!! I definitely need to add some lights like you have.
If you dont mind me asking, where did you pick up the little arrow turn signals on your mirrors?
