Sunny and -6 here...:yikes: before you factor in the wind chill which is in the 20s below.
Good day to stay inside and busy with indoor hobbies.
I'm not sure you could bring enough clothing...
...what it is, here in the Midwest. :gaah: My tolerance level grows shorter and shorter with each year of my age, especially now with a Spyder in the garage, with only 550 miles on it from last year...
Welcome to the forum, and the world of :spyder2: ryders. Coming from the 2-wheel environment, myself, I had some "unlearning" to do too. But it's part of the fun, and really doesn't take that long...
Well, yes... in a few more hours mine will be last year's model. :yikes: Nevertheless, I got a bunch more miles to put on it, once the cold and snow is outta here. :doorag:
Cheers everyone......
If I recall correctly, I had to pay an extra $20 (maybe 30) for a different brake rod. The pedal stays the same. My handlebar position was Standard, so there was no change there.
If I didn't...
At 5' 8", you will probably get along just fine with the BR. I'm 5' 10", and there is just a hint of the wind that is coming from my BR, and that is at the very top of my FF helmet. Nothing severe...
Welcome fellow ryder... you have lots of miles and smiles ahead of you. :doorag: Ride often and ride safe.
Have not ridden two-up on my 2015 F3S yet, and probably won't be doing a lot of that. However, for just me riding it, I would not hesitate to do any amount of touring, highway miles or twisties that...
Is the screw magnetic? If so, any chance a small magnet on a string could reach it? :dontknow: (guess the post above me came in while I was writing mine...)
Morn'n all. :coffee:
A scant 12 deg. above (0) here. Headed for a high of only 34 today. However, the next few days are to be much better again with highs in the 40s. And.... we have a really...
Actually, this trend of a warmer than normal Winter is to continue right through March. Well, that is for about the upper 2/3 of the country - where normally we are in the snow, ice and deep freeze...
Looks a lot like that new Honda (hybrid) "concept" bike, only with a cage around it.
I'll stay with my :spyder2:... thank you.
I came from the Harley arena as well. When the nearby dealer sweetened the pot a little (this past Oct.) on his 2015 F3s, I took a test ride:yes:... and the rest, as they say, is history.
After...
We just had about two days of solid rain... not real heavy thunder-boomer rain, but constant light rain and fog. Now a couple of the major waterways are out of their banks and causing some lowland...
Just this past week I replaced my FF Scorpion with a new Nolan N104. The Scorpion was probably 5 yrs old and of course was not that expensive a helmet to begin with. The Nolan cost more but comes...
Mornin all. We got a load of rain last night and it continues thru out today also. Ha! At least you don't have to shovel rain.;)
Morning all...:coffee:not very light out yet, and a bit of fog out there. Heading out for brkfst (in the cage).
We have a deluge of rain headed our way for tonight and all day tomorrow...
...
Hmmmm.... doesn't appear that rule applies here. :roflblack::roflblack:
I just received my new Nolan N104. Lot of great features, especially the chin bar locking mechanism and the internal sunshade. I was wearing an older model Scorpion before - this is far superior. ...
The :spyder2: is a total blast. Welcome and enjoy the miles and smiles..
Mine is likewise.... snug under her cover and staying ready for the first hint of Spring. Only thing is, we could have a day or two this week when it just might be rydable ;). Wouldn't that be a...
Okay here is your sign <<<< STUPID >>>>
A lot of the "bobbies" don't carry guns, so I guess he figured he was pretty safe.
In the US, he'd be sporting a toe-tag, a nice white sheet and a body...
Well, the new year isn't that far off. Your new Spyder will be a great way to celebrate 2016. :ohyea:
Good luck with the selling process.... :coffee: all you have to do is find that "one" right...
Whereabouts in IA are you? I got mine in the middle of October (Griimes dealer) and didn't get that many miles on it before having to quit for the Winter. Am really looking forward to maybe an...
Congrats on your new ryde.
Now we need to think... an Early Spring.
Coming from a 2-wheel motorcycle, my first miles were spent "unlearning" a few natural habits; but soon each trip out added to my overall confidence and 3-wheel skills. Sadly I only got a little...
:clap:glad there are some that can ryde today.
Here in the Midwest, I'm sure most of the :ani29: are tucked away - I know mine is.
 'in for an early Spring... our high today might...
 Glad to know you are happy with the BR WS, and with the help you got here. Miles and smiles to you...
Woke up to a fresh 4 or 5" of snow this morning - in the central part of Iowa. Even more North of me. Super cold temps (5 or 6 deg. F) right now (Sat. night) so what little melting we got earlier...
