In order for a P/N to roll...there has to be a change to "Form, Fit, or Function".
Since I'm experiencing the same probs...I'm wondering what the magnet does on the end of the DPS assembly is. I think it sits just under the SAS sensor. From reading the manual, it said that this...
Mine went at a little past 19,5k and the new DPS, just under 1 tank full of gas in the twisties.
Yes, I too would hear this audible "POP" and the errors would start scrolling and then into "Limp...
I've had both updates but still no go. I pulled my fuse to get home..didn't get the error messages anymore but the DPS does help from wearing you out. If you're highway driving and going point a to...
since its used, I bet your pads need changing. Once your pads gets past its wear point, you set off the "low pressure" switch since the brake piston is at its max stroke. You can temporarily "reset"...
Here's another if you want a better quality ceramic bearing..

has anybody sourced out for aftermarket bearings that'll work for our application? like ceramic bearings. I just dont know the size of our bearings...Anyone have the specs?
I use the Pingle Electronic shifter. Its made specifically for the spyder and no custom fabrication needed.

I have to keep the Spyder on to watch the gauge so it doesnt fill up to the new cap...that wouldn't be good because the venting is still the original and all of that gas would overfill the charcoal...
just remember to repeat yourself when you talk to her ;)
I had a little brain fart there with this gimpy mind  When I first did my system over a year ago, the only option for us was tapping into the system and eliminating the brake pedal. Then as...
Is 16mm bore even strong enough for all 3 wheels? How much lever effort are you applying? From all the mechanics I've talked to 20mm was the min.
Bah! Just follow the directions I sent you Seth...11K miles on my setup and its just fine...ditch that cable...
you dont have to remove the wheels...just remove the bolts that fasten the fender suports to the hub...you could push the fender lights thru the fender and unbuckle the staps that hold the harness to...
nice review Lamonster...thanks! :2thumbs:
Hey Billy,
How about making that filler neck for us? ;) This ABS plastic doesnt quite do it...not enough clearance, specifically where the elbow sits....something that can screw into the original...
Jumper,
a few more questions...how does the seat settle over the elbow? I just tried building my filler neck tonight but the seat wouldn't quite close all the way..also the panel was interefering...
I made a powerpoint of how to modify the Spyder for an Hydraulic brake lever...I showed two options. Hydraulic and slave cylinder. Just shoot me your email/PM and I'll send it to you if I already...
I did some research on putting a fill cap on the outside as how jumper did it.
The fill cap that Jumper used is commonly used in the boating industry. It's called a "Deck Fill". The specs are the...
Now, can you remove the other panel so we can see how its connected to the fill cap? I'm wondering if you're using flexible fuel line? Now was that "elbow" on the original filler hole just siliconed...
Can you post a pic of the filler tube routing? I want to do this ASAP cause I'm getting tired of breaking the chair down and getting my little 3 gal gas can and filling up in a parking spot in the...
Lamonster,
where did you get the gauge to measure the tension on the belt? Also, any special tool needed to remove the front sprocket? I'm getting ready to replace my GPS and the service manual...
Seth, IMMHO, that mount is way to bulky..Just do what I did..break the chair down COMPLETELY and strap it down. I have the sport rack that nicely fits the back rest grab handle when the back is...
This is what I've done in the past with success...Usually the warning comes on when it senses low brake pressure in the ABS unit. With the bike off...build pressure in the lever and squeeze as hard...
Well, mine's in the shop now for a failed cam lifter and chain at only 10k on her. Who knows when I'll get her back..From what the mechanic said, a lifter failed then the timing chain stretched.
You dont need no stinkin folder! (no disrespect to Floto) Strap it to the back like I did...:yes:It held for 8 hrs of riding through the twisties. The only thing is if you do not have any 'trunk'...
The sport bike community (actually the racing guys) use a 'thumb brake' thats mounted on the left side for stunt riding or racing.

As to how much...
At least you're getting waves..I've already had a few rice rockets pull up next to me, shake their heads and rocket off...after the second time I gave the guy the bird.:yikes: For some reason, the...
What would look better is the slip-ons on each side of the Spyder. Now only if one of these companies would build one.
