Very nice! I love that stuff!
A man never truly owns anything unless he can carry it in both arms at a dead run!

I've recently discovered this genre or culture. I love the detail and style.
It's called Steam Punk and basically it's high technology or science fiction design from a Victorian era perspective...
I think it could be fun to post pics of whats in our tool boxes and garages if they're old and unique... and try to figure / guess their uses. O.K. gals ...no husband photos!! :shemademe_smilie:
If...
Yeah your pretty much right,
metric actually works ok. As you already know it is base ten system.
;)
We managed to get to 13c today in Whitecourt Alberta.
It's finally quit raining but it won't be above 21c next week.
Someone remind me why I live in this country?:gaah:

Complete myth backed up by science. (doppler effect)
Thanks for the info but ya know??......can't be bothered. BRP knows the mileage and I just have to "carry the 6000" in my head for my service interval.
All is good and if the monsoons in central...
Sigh...Why couldn't the world just have been happy with a Chevy 350 cu engine and a Rochester Quadrajet.
Now that made sense!!
I could fix that with an American Dime (thinner than Canadian) and my...
Oh..By the way. Oddly enough the mileage was reset with the new cluster but the Hrs. on the engine remained accurate.:dontknow:

Well I think you can be forgiven!;) Darned things run on electricity/fuel/air/spark (different electricity) and Voo Doo!:D
Thanks for your input,
Max
First let me thank you all for the responses and ideas and for not making the usual jokes about "intermittent signal lights". "Are they working? yes...no..yes..no...yes..no..yes...no!
Well I managed...
I suppose so. you would think with it being digital they could pop the numbers in there.
Not a biggie ..it's only got 6000 km. on it anyway.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I know Scotty...she's an odd duck electrically and I guess that makes sense.
And wyliec, they did do a thorough trace of the harness and rechecked all the connectors and...
I got my 2008 sm5 in for the DPS and other updates. Ran like a dream except the signal lights became intermittent.
Now I don't know about you folks but I don't want a Spyder coming off warranty with...
What new software upgrade?[/QUOTE]
When I got the new DPS they installed an update for fuel mapping.....like I know what that is:shocked:

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I thought a 45 min. response time was pretty good actually.
Hope you get up and running soon.

Did you do the proper procedure for changing the pipe?
When I went with my Hindle it said to disconnect the battery for a period and then let the bike run with the new pipe for 20 mins. without...
Does anyone remember who was the vendor for those handle bar inserts? I think it's where the premier edition #'s were inserted. You could get them in carbon fiber look and I recall someone having NCC...
You could try Martin powersports in Edmonton. They had the parts an the shelf and it took them about 5 hrs. to do service and DPS replacement.

Easy, it was just a joke.

I love this!

Resistance is not futile...It's voltage divided by current!
Whoops! I stand corrected...resistance IS futile if <1 ohm!
Yeah I know, there's one in every crowd.:D

I feel your pain.
It's 12c today in Central Alberta so I'm going for a ryde and then it's BBQ time!
Like the saying goes "If Canadians didn't go out in the cold , Canadians would not go out!"
Max
I just couldn't take it anymore so I loaded up and headed to my cabin in the Kootenays of British Columbia. The area is quite well known in Canada for some great biking roads. Seasonally they are...
Thanks,
You are right. I got the service done on Monday and the D.P.S. was only a couple of hours. It was still most of the day as I had the ECM update and the evap cannister update along with the...
The Spyder gets towed (too darned cold to ride!) in for 5000km service tomorrow. My dealer is about 2 hrs. away. They seem to think they can do the service and D.P.S. recall in one day. My question...
Well I bought a trailer today to haul my 2008 SM5.
77"x10'. Perfect size. 15" wheels and a powder coated frame with pressure treated deck. I hate those trailers with the ramp that sticks up when...
I don't understand all the hoopla! That should buff right out.:gaah:

20 years flying these beasts for the same company.
They must be doing something right.;)
