Mine does too. It isn't actually accelerating as much as free wheeling which allows it to speed up a bit on the downhill especially. There is a bit of lag, maybe a second or so, before the clutch...

It is a great ride and I am over there a couple times a year if not more. That time of year can be chilly weather up there, but being from Maine you already understand chilly weather. If you have a...
Would these work?

Ask around to other riders that you may know or even ask a stranger you see on a bike. Someone will surely tell you about an independent mechanic or two in that area. I have a good pal that I often...
Oh yeah, the camera in your phone works great for those "where did that part come from" moments. Take pics.
Well, at 48,000 miles on my 15 RT I decided to change the spark plugs. I am not going into a big HOW TO article here because IdahoMtnSpyder has a very good post with pictures (thank you for that.) I...
I am a rather spirited rider and love the twisty roads. I agree with the above statement. Then again if you are happy with your ride now just have fun.
How about rain? "Someone" doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. I ride in the winter, I don't have a choice I don't own a car. I do my own work on my Spyder. I run car tires and I buy oil...
I agree with this. Trying to just remove the block won't work. The wiring going to those blocks is securely tied and also not long enough to allow you to move the block very much at all. Another...
Probably get several thoughts on this, but if it were my Spyder with the Kenda tires I would put them at the manufacturers recommended PSI and leave them alone. Air temp is not going to affect them...
Probably a good idea to check for others. These frames are probably welded robotically on a line so it's possible more than one got passed the weld station. Should have been caught by an inspector...
I don't think four pounds is going to matter on a machine like this unless you drag it up a flight of stairs every night.
I agree with a spin on oil filter. That alone would make life much easier. As far as vehicle design goes. I think the engineers were given the job of putting five pounds of stuff in a two pound...
Thanks for the tip.
The machine will downshift as it slows, but it SHOULD also downshift with the paddle. As Peter said there were some with left hand control module issues.
I'm not much of a group rider, but if we ever meet I will follow and you can show me some roads I may have never been on in your area. 233 over to Patriot and 775 down to Proctorville is a favorite...
I ride with the PGR as a matter of respect. Other than that I am not even slightly interested in belonging to a group for riding, stamp collecting, or anything else. I go as slow or as fast as I want...
Rear Kenda was worn out at 5000 miles. Nothing but auto tires since. Handles better, rides better, longer tire life for less $$$. I know there are folks who like the Kenda, but I have never had good...
Hi Oak Hill. I ride in your area often. I have a dear friend out off 279 on Slab Hill Road. If you see a black Spyder RT or a red Suzuki Burgman give me a wave. Try one of those adjustable...
Before you start throwing a lot of money at the issue and finding out it didn't improve much try one of these adjustable extensions. Around $30 on Amazon and it proved to be a keeper on my Burgman...
I have a base model RT which has foot pegs instead of floorboards. Lamonster Garage has a set of pegs for my bike and they don't mount to the boards, but behind the black deflectors. Perhaps they...
I wouldn't.
Short answer. Yes, use what was left over.
Mine aren't stainless or zinc plated, can't recall the sealant color, but red usually signals a permanent sealant and that wouldn't be very good for an item that you will eventually need to loosen.
That's the ticket.
The center will pass about 70 miles NW of us here in Ohio so we plan a Spyder ride that day. Round trip will only be 140 miles. We ride farther than that to get a good breakfast.

I think we are stuck in limbo. Spyder isn't a motorcycle, but isn't a car either
I'm afraid that's a common theme among shops these days and I know several reasons for that decision, but not going into here. Time to find a good independent guy or gal to work on your bike. They...
