Any group formed yet?
I've been riding my Spyder with a BMW group for the past several years. Nice guys, a little too fast, so I've been looking around for a Spyder group. Sierra Vista is a little far so is anything...
Hey, these rides sound great. Keep posting, have had two Spyders, currently ride with a bunch of Beemer guys, but the Spyder has trouble keeping up in the twistes.
Well I really wasn't looking for kudos on the gas mileage, but wondering if I was missing something.
I think the fact that mileage may vary requires me doing this several times over to make sure I...
Well, those are the numbers. Now this was also going up Mt Lemmon for about 12 miles, average grade 4%. In addition to street riding. Coming down Lemmon not much gas used, I'd assume..anyway
...
I just decided to once again review my gas mileage. So rode 81.4 miles and used 2.03 gallons of premium. Seems high. My 08 was about 33 or so.
I had also read that most were getting around 33-35. ...
I'm a little confused on the bluetooth dongle install. When I go to the BRP page showing the dongle it shows it being installed next to the 12 volt outlet. I went to the 12 volt outlet on my Spyder...
Traded my 09 for the St Limited. On the 09 I had a couple of sockets put in for my heated vest any my fuzz buster. I know there is a plug in the front trunk but that's a long ways away. Anyone have...
Well, its time to trade the 2009 Spyder. So when I walk into the dealer figuring he'll have a 2013 RT avaliable or maybe a 2014 on the floor. I know the price will be better for th 13 but does the 14...
Thanks for the informative response. I have topped off once too often. I do keep the tank about
a third filled now. We'll see when I get back. Thx again
I leave my 2009 Spyder in our AZ garage during the summer. We go back to MI. After we come back there is a gas leak from the bottom right sider of the Spyder. I drive for about 25 minutes and the gas...
Well I guess we can meet up in October or November. I live in Tucson, Oro Valley. Still work in MN, anyway stay in touch
:sour: Getting a new Spyder the 2009 is about due for a trade-in. My wife says she wants to ride this time, so now I'm undecided which model to get. I can see where passenger stability is an issue,...
Well, I've been looking for some Tucson Spyder boys. I live in Oro Valley, had my Spyder since 2010. I go back to MN for work every couple of weeks, but after that I'm free.
The dealer I purchased my Spyder from called once and then again to purchase my Spyder in Tucson, AZ. They're not looking to trade but to purchase outright. Strange I thought, Is there a shortage of...
We left our Arizona home for part of the summer, the Spyder was as usual stored in the garage. Now this was for May, June, July, and part of August.( garage temps can get around 100 during the day...
Boy I wish we could've run into each other. I checked my calendar again and I was there on 4/10. But AZ hospitality warrants you the bragging rights. We stayed in Sedona (a bunch of BMW boys and...
Holy cow, lots of mods and we live in the same town and the bikes look alike. I'm going back to MI for a couple of weeks, will then return. I'll give you a shout when I get back. I live off Moore and...

Dead nuts on! The sport bikes can't handle what I can n the rain or water on the roads they get very nervous (justifiably so!). But in dry conditions my buds wait for me since they can carve those...
I have installed a 12 volt socket on the spyder but was thinking the other day it might be nice to have two one on each side of the handlebars. Anybody done this without hiccups, blown fuses etc,...
Nice ride the past couple of days to Silver City, NM. Thru Mule Pass that is full of twisties up and down. Total trip was about 600 miles following some "bemer boys" and their K1200's. Tough to keep...
I've been thinking about getting these bags, although expensive they do look pretty cool, but are they practical? In other words do they handle a lot of extra stuff like the bags on a BMW K1200? Any...
I was looking for the right way to express myself when the same thing happened to me. You nailed the problem description dead nuts. For a matter of fact I'm taking your description to the dealer next...
I just read the service report (normally don't) the 12V socket was installed directly to the battery, so obviously the fuse wasn't necessary. Yeah maybe the polarity is reversed. Who knows it now has...
Had the dealer install the 12 volt receptacle. Cheap and not a big deal until I got it home. Yep it didn't work, like some others have mentioned I ckd the 3 amp fuse and sure enough it wasn't in...

1800 miles since July, running great.:2excited:
I was on a road today with some twistys. Everything was going fine after the first 50 miles. However, I noticed that when I turned slightly to the right I had to pull the handlebars a little more as...
Can you tell me what the dealer charged. I've been quoted $45-150 from two different reps at the dealer. One said $150 the other $45. thanks
