With the old drivetrain you trade lower rpm to keep them moving slower for a larger displacement so you can move more air

Setup a 25-35 mph corner in a empty parking lot in the pouring rain it's a pretty safe way to play get used to the dynamics and the VSS.

Try to aim for a down shift that's puts you around 7000 when you straighten from the apex, full throttle up shift at redline and your at the mercy of your tiress :)
