Stupid or NOT, burns are painful and dangerous. It is good you got medical attention and have a professional wife to aid and pamper you. I pray you heal quickly and can remain pain free.

Good for you, Deb.
I rode around the arena a bit Monday. Too much snow here. I'd be stuck in the farm driveway.
Spring always has come. C'mon Spring!!

We have a Kubota M6500 4wd that is used daily. Set up for winter with front loader and 7' 2 stage snow blower, it keeps the manure carried and the snow moved. The heated cab really spoiles me when...
HAPPY NEW YEAR to Deb and Brian.

My prayers are for you, your wife and family. May the Lord shower you with peace and love in this trying time. Prayer in the father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.

As I watched the video, I am sitting at the beach in Corolla, NC. Seeing the sunrise on our great country, and hearing Red's words, makes me realize afresh how fortunate we are to have liberty and...
I had the recall update today.[8-7] I don't know how long it took - 'cause the owner took me to lunch. It is 60 miles to my dealership. On the ryde home, I noticed NO difference is steering, idle was...
I recall my parents concern when I was deployed to Viet Nam. It was prayer and communication [via mail in those days] that gave us all strength and perseverance.
I will support your family in my...
"Is that really a snowmobile with wheels?"
I replied, "Yes, it takes about 2 hours to change it over.":hun:
When I took delivery of my spYder, the dealer told me to be sure to only use 2 clicks with PB pedal, more would stretch the cable and eventually cause problems. When properly adjusted, it takes only...
Do you get a couple of days to recover, or do you or Brian have to go right back to WORK?
You know you'd be welcome here any time.

Deb, you and Brian are certainly special people. I read your blog with great interest. As much as you've enjoyed this trip, I know that getting home will be a blessing.
Safe travels today....
My face is already full of scars, and I always ryde with full face helmet.(It is seldom HOT here in the Enchanted Mountains) But MM makes a very good point. I have the EIII slider and the 777...
I was looking at Deb's video of the group ride thru the CA hills. Since I live in a valley between mountains, every spYder ride to town involves roads that are twisty, BUT not nearly as well...
It is fun to follow the events in CA as I toil at my mundane farming activities here in PA. It makes me want to RYDE. ;)
Thanks for the travel log Deb.

I must have missed something. WHAT precipitated the destruction of the trailer latch?
AND - how will you keep it closed and rain proofed for the ryde home?

At one point in the procedure, I was told that the master cylinder was being custom built at a local machine shop. I'm not certain what was finally used. All I cared was that it worked well.
Contact...
I have no other pictures, wasn't present for the process. I took the spYder to dealership, they did the work, I drove it home. I'm not a techie or mechanic.
Wishing you a safe, enjoyable experience. Blessings and prayers for you all as you traverse the USA and converge on LA.

Here are a couple of pix of handbrake installed.
For those living in Western New York or Northwestern PA.
Pioneer Motorsport in Chaffee, NY designed and installed a hand brake system for me. This is a very nicely designed and fitted addition. ...
I won't get into an airliner disaster speculation here, or anywhere for that matter, BUT the possibility of faulty instruments is why we have back up systems on airliners 3-7 layers deep.
To rely...
With the experience of over 30,000 hours of flight time, hundreds of thousands of vehicle driving miles, including motorcycles, I NEVER take the indications of a gage/gauge as definitive measurement....
I thought maybe it was a DRAGSTER scooter. :ohyea:
I had a Mustang seat on my Virago 1100 and it was excellent. If they see a market, I'd bet they produce a seat.

The only machine I loved more than my spYder was my airplane. I find any excuse to take the spYder on the road. My physical limitations don't let me rack up big miles -- but ALL my rides are on...
Deb,
Here's to continued good performance all the way to the left coast and back.
