Sam, we had the same problem and bought a set of Kuryakyn #4559 extension adapters, solved the proplem for us

The sport rack release cable is loose; can it be tightened without removing the sport rack ? how do i tighten it ?

i have the Audiovox CCS-100. the only problem i have encountered is that the wire to the throttle came loose, an easy fix. i am now thinking of adding LED taillights
