Thanks for the replies everyone. Decided to go back with OEM.
Good morning everyone!
After 4 years the factory battery in my 2018 F3S has faded into the sunset.
Yes, I’ve load tested it and it’s finished. After many years as a Chevrolet dealership tech I’m...
Here's my 2 cents (perhaps worth less).
I think everyone so far has been focusing on the symptom and not the cause. Yes, the left side switch assembly is a pattern failure but it may not be the...
I guess I missed that
To the OP, was that picture after the preliminary recall was done?
Clearly no fingerprints on the sprocket and no witness marks on the bolt. It doesn’t look like it was touched.
The way I interpret the O.P. is “if you have a Spyder that’s under recall how many miles are on the suspect sprocket?”
My wife and I each have a 2018 F3s. Hers has around 3,000 miles on it and mine...
Vehicles cannot be sold if they are subject to an open recall. This is something we deal with in the automotive business all the time, nothing to do but wait it out. Although the numbers do seem...
Guess no one has any ideas. I’ll report back after I’ve done the job and maybe my experience will help someone else.
Good morning all,
I’m getting ready to replace the right side switch assembly on my 2018 F3S (the one with the red kill switch in it) and am looking for some tips. Does it split and go around the...
I’ve had luck removing stubborn adhesive with a product called “goo gone”. It’s a household cleaner with a strong orange scent. Be careful with kerosene, WD 40 or any other petroleum based product....
I’m 52 and, as I’m still working, mostly use my 2018 F3s as a commuter vehicle doing 75 miles round trip every day as weather permits. Relatively new to riding with about 3 years exclusively on...
Great minds think alike! That’s what we’ve been using since moving out here, just a couple of minutes every time we get home and they are presentable. Not clean, but presentable so it works. I wonder...
I have to agree with whodat. We wouldn’t be able to ride if we didn’t go down the dirt roads. My wife and I each have a 2018 F3s and we live down a mile of dirt and gravel. We take it slow and easy...
Thanks! Will check into those for sure!
I hadn’t considered that… do you know of a link?
Thanks Dave but I’ve got an F3…. Picture says this fits the older machines, looks cool though.
Thanks for the replies folks. I’d love to try the Lamonster relocation kit but, again, not in stock. I’m going to try rotating the bars down just a bit to try to improve line of sight.
Hey all,
Been having this problem since purchasing my 2018 F3S. Due to the way my body is configured (5’08” with a very short torso) I just can’t see the mirrors. The way it works out the switch...
Well... got things adjusted this morning. Didn’t take too long. Belt rides very close to inner flange of the rear sprocket. Depending on when I check during several stops during the road test. Belt...
Thanks again for all the advice everyone. I’ll be working on this in the morning... I wanted to check the belt tension while I was at it and rectify any problems there too. I’ve got the Krikit being...
Wow, I think they should be but my gut feeling is no, that’s the reason why we see so many dealer horror stories here. I’ve got absolutely zero experience working in motorcycle shops but I do have...
Thanks for all the info.. will be trying this over the weekend and report back.
Thanks for the advice so far... What sort of problems K80?
Hi all...
Some of you may remember me posting in the “Kanine beta test” thread a couple of weeks ago... Got my rear installed and so far so good on the tire but noticed my F3s (2018) felt just a bit...
Got my Kanine on the rear today, rode well for the 25 or so miles home. We’ll see... has to last longer than the original Kenda does!
RUN!!! As fast and as far as you can. Tell them you’ll get your own warranty from another dealer if the price on the machine is good enough to buy from them. NO WAY WOULD I PAY THAT FOR AN EXTENDED...
Thanks everyone for all the advice. So far I’ve tried the tight fitting covers, also sprinkled pepper on the seats, ammonia, lemon juice seem to have no effect.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the replies so far. Please keep in mind the spirit of the original post. My wife is very attached to these little guys...
Giant dogs, air soft, sending to a shelter......
Good afternoon all,
Hoping for some wisdom from the group. We live WAY out in the country and sadly, our Spyders sit somewhat outside. They live under a very nice prefab metal carport that is...
Is it possible to post the text of the bulletin?
