Another way I've been told to check rotor warpage is to remove the rotor and place it on a piece of glass and see if it rocks back and forth. Then turn it over and do the same thing again. If it does...

Your right, probably just a new poster and is not familiar with this site. Takes a while to know this site, I still don't know it all.
My Jeep Grand Cherokees for several years had front rotor warpage problems. Bought Summit premium racing rotors and still had the same problem. A Summit tech advisor gave me a driving formula to heat...
Me too. I think I'll go over to an empty parking lot and do some figure 8's and see what happens.
Sorry, haven't installed it on my RTS yet.
I believe just about every post, particularly if it's a long post, goes sideways or out of bounds in one way or another. Just the nature of the beast.
Will a volt gauge display a drop in voltage when the DPS draws current in a turn?
Possible rotor warp. Watch it close as you turn the wheel. Not an uncommon issue. Take off the wheel and check the pads for uneven wear.
Very good advice EdMat. I know exactly what you mean. I'm 100% guilty of doing more than one thing at a time trying to resolve a problem issue.
As Ron said, do the easy stuff first. While torquing the front lug nuts feel for any slack in the wheels, lose bearings and etc. and watch the handlebars at the same time. Look for any excessive...
Everyone seems to be on the same page with this post, for now anyway. Unusual though.
I think the newer rides are more comfortable for the taller folks because their wallets are much thinner now. LOL For now anyway, I'm staying with my 14 RT until I can't ride any longer or my spyder...
Some do and some don't. If they have a tech that is certified, his certification will be posted in the service department. Check the date and make sure it's not 20 years old.
I installed the larger brake pedal and after 800 miles or so I took it off and went back to OEM. It took up too much room and gave me an uncomfortable feeling.
Sent you a PM.
I just installed a UCB connector as you described. I did it two days ago. I have no idea which connector you purchased but mine came with a two-wire lead and a fuse in the positive lead. The wire was...
I have four FOBO's on my 14RTS. One on each tire and one on the air ride Schrader valve under the seat. Normally I ride on the second setting on the dashboard. That pressure will self-adjust from 27...
"Are all LAZERS the same, do they all have BUDs??"
I should have said and I meant to say, do all the laser alignment techs use BUDS after the alignment is done. Sorry for not being clear on that.
Are all LAZERS the same, do they all have BUDs??
Like BK911, I run Eco mode 90% of the time. I shift by sound and feel not by the green arrow. When I want to pass somebody I hit Eco Boost and away we go! Finding the sweet spot to shift all depends...
Me 2. You can get Amsoil through BajaRon or direct from Amsoil. Either way, the price is the same. Ron does not charge extra, he just forwards your order on to Amsoil. Ron is a good guy to deal with.
I had about the same millage on my 14 RTS as you have now, and my front tires showed the same signs of cupping just like yours. I had Squared Away align my spyder and WOW, what a difference. Each...
I used two rubber donuts, one in each front shock spring. It takes away one spring coil from compressing making the spring stiffer. Along with BajaRon's sway bar, cornering now is like riding on a...
Back down on the speed. 70 is too much too soon for the 4th ride. Stay 55 or below until you learn your machine. If your spyder has had an alignment and the front wheels are balanced properly your...
Well Bartender, I say you pretty well answered your own question(s).
Right on Mike. And I get a kick out of how many people swear up and down they have an accurate Butt dino.
Take a 100 mile trip with a full-sized spare tire/wheel tied onto your spyder, then take the same trip a second time with a flat repair kit in your trunk/frunk and see just which one is more...
Nice set of wheels, I really like the color. Until you learn your machine fill up at 1/4 of a tank. Don't press it trying to find where empty is. AAA RV road/towing assistance is a good investment if...
To me, ECO mode simply reduces or retards the rapid acceleration which consumes more fuel than normal mode. The arrow indicates shift points at lower rpm's therby saving fuel. Don't become fixated on...
Met a gentleman at a rally a few years ago that showed me pictures of his spyder after one of the OEM links broke. The broken link sent him to the hospital and BRP sent him a new spyder.
