Spyders can attack too....LOL
Grey and black (at least temporarily..lol)....in Valencia, CA.
it takes about 3 minutes to remove that lower front lip.
I don't know what it would look like without it,
but If I remember correctly it was about 4 of those push it screw things and two actual...
it sounds like a good idea, but probably wouldn't work.
The throttle cable, clutch cable, ignition wires and master cylinder lines would never reach back that far.
Mine is 1SIKBYK
in california
The BRP "touring" windshield does not even deserve to call itself a windshield...and it certainly does not compare to Marcels
The same thing happened with my F1.
The outer holes lined up, but the inner ones did not.
It literally took me about 3 minutes to figure out how to fix it.
I installed the two outside screws...
Just my two cents...
Im 6'6" and the Spyder is still perfect for me.
I haven't even found the need just yet for highway pegs, but I might in the future. Especially if I were to be on a long ride....
McK is right....I took the rear fender that I removed and cut the license plate holder off of it.
I like the way that it looks stock and part of the original bike.

yes, I had to change the entire piece that surrounds the headlights and it is a metal piece.
Not as bad of a price as I thought it would be...if i remember correctly, it was about $140.00

oh yes, that one happened to me as well.
Not only did I strip 2 of the 4 windshield holes, but I also stripped one of the side mirror mounting holes...on BOTH sides.
I thought that by...
I ordered my shield from Marcel and he told me to expect about 14 business days to arrive at my house.
It took 9.
And I couldnt be happier with it.
just a side note, that I found out the hard way.
When you take those bolts on and off, just be careful when you do it.
I have taken my windshield (AKA piece of crap) off about 20 times and now 2...
No martin...all you have to do is unscrew them from the outside.
Marcel,
I called you and left a message regarding buying one of your windshields.
I never heard back from you and that was a week ago.
Rick
Im one of the guys who took the touring windshield and made a lip on the top..thinking it would help with the wind almost blowing my helmet off.
It didn't work..the touring windshield with the lip...
I lean on every turn....no matter how fast or slow Im going
I guess Im in the minority.
Im still holding onto my hog "pea pod" helmet.
But taking into consideration that I ride mostly in town and not on the freeways that much.
The speakers sound really good when riding around town, but at high speeds they get kind of drowned out.
I think that problem will be solved when I get a windshield that actually works and blocks...
Yea, they are marine speakers.
But I live in L.A., so it hardly ever rains anyway, plus I don't really do any Bad weather riding.
I was also really happy with how my design turned out...it really...
Well, an update about #798.
Last you saw it looked like this...

I was forced to pay $1900 from Honda of Hollywood.
A year prior, when I pre-ordered my Spyder, part of their sales pitch was that I would get a considerable break on all assembly and destination...
its my pleasure to help out when I can.
I think that why this site is so cool....One person can help someone NOT to make the same mistake on something.
At the same time, Lamont can show us all the...
thanks 44,
Im thinking of having the grey pieces of my spyder painted that same color blue while its taken apart.
actually, I didn't trust using anything, especially Goo-gone.
I was afraid of any substance fading or taking off the paint.
What I actually did was use the old fashioned method.
I waited until...
the first thing I did when I got my Spyder home, was to take ALL of that awful advertising off my bike.
I know its a Spyder....so do you....I don't need to have CAN-AM in bigger letters on my bike...
you are by no means the only one interested...lol
We are all stuck with windshields that do not work
It also has the torque settings listed in the installation instructions that come with the riser
