The Forty-Eight is a great looking bike. It attracted a lot of attention at the H-D exhibit during Daytona Bike Week. I also missed the lean factor and traded my Spyder for a new H-D Fatboy Low. Love...

Here's a sneak photo of the new engine for the touring Spyders . . . . .
Lots of hot spots all over-- Beach Street, Destination Daytona, and of course don't miss the Speedway. After attending Bike Week for many many years, I find Main Street just a big traffic jam. Just...
Thank you all for the great comments and wishes. I did have some teething problems with my SE, and it was due to the shifting and of course a poor dealership and management that could care less--...
I've traded in my Spyder and moved back to two wheels (although I never really left with my ever-present Ducatis). This time a new FatBoy has been added to the collection. I just want to thank all...
Never on my SM-5, but constantly on my SE-5--- lots of stopping to allow it to reset--too many times to count in 3K miles. Six weeks in the shop to no avail.
In comparing the comfort seat to the stock seat, for me it is much better. The comfort seat being firmer, it absolves one of the feeling of sitting on a beach ball.
A superhero cat that wears glasses ? ? ? ?
I've never been a fan of graphics kits and thought they all sort of looked the same-- kind of lame and weak style-wise in fact, but THAT'S WAY COOL! Love it ! ! ! !
Cool!
Matt, what happens with the idle air control valve hose, that large one (about 1-inch diameter hose) that enters the stock airbox on the right side at the front, when the original air box is removed...
Burg650, I have had mine set up very similar to yours for about 500 miles and it works just great. Had a lot of oil soaked into the filter when it was mounted closer. Good job!
The plastic bowls do not melt. I thought about this as well, but there are plastic covers over the wire bundles that are right in the same place and they do fine. At first I placed my filter close to...
00178 here!
Love it there. Hope you have a great trip, and drink an Imperial for me! Going back again in April '10. Much drier then.
Put the power tips in my TBR carbon duals and although they came with two different gasket sizes, mine required none at all. Works great so far (except the recall made it run a bit rough).
Bought a Pazzo shorty lever on Ebay. Works great.
I had to vote "runs like crap, not happy". After the first 100 miles or so, the Spyder started to backfire and run extremely rough. My only mod that would affect this is the Two Bros. exhaust. Now...
Yup! Gotta love it . . . .
These are different times-- it's not like it used to be years ago. I agree that the police are all over, and getting a break is very unlikely. Thank God Spyders can't do wheelies. That's an expensive...
TB duals with the DB killers!
trm17118, you are correct. I have the Two Brothers exhaust and about 100 miles after my "update" the Spyder showed all of the symptoms others describe . . . the popping, rough running, and mine ran...
No Juice Box on mine, and it runs crappy after the update.
My previous post: Steering Recall Revisited . . .
Yeah, I'm the one that bragged in a previous post that after my recall was done, I noticed NO difference in the Spyder's performance. I believe I...
No juice box, Ron. Just the exhaust. Spyder ran PERFECTLY for the past 2000 miles before the recall.
Yeah, I'm the one that bragged in a previous post that after my recall was done, I noticed NO difference in the Spyder's performance. I believe I said I had the "perfect Spyder". Well, after a 120...
Had my recall done today. Took about 20 minutes, and the service tech said that it actually addressed several issues. Rode about 100 miles today, and I did not notice a difference from before. My...
Dialing a phone number while driving is just as bad as texting. It amazes me that some people are SO IMPORTANT that a call can't wait a few minutes until they can pull over somewhere safe and either...
I've owned both an SE and an SM. Only have the SM now. The SM is much more fun!
Exactly as trm17118 described. In Florida here, and we're in the 90s as well. One nice thing is when the gauge gets to the 5 bar mark (rarely 6) it always goes in the right direction after you start...
