When Peggy has ridden on the back of her 2013 Spyder STS-SM5, she says she gets a sensation of the Spyder moving around
a little, like it's weaving slightly. I haven't ridden on the back, but have...
Not a liar, merely mistaken, on several points: you mentioned 120 MPH, close but not quite. You also mentioned the bike was a
write-off. It wasn't, according to what I read, they had yet to decide...
Personally I don't think I'd want to make anything anywhere in my line vision to be opaque. You said you "I don't think I'd ever actually look through"
which to my mind means it isn't way down low....
120 KPH is still nearly 75 MPH. Which to my mind looks more likely. Considering no plastic damage on the fairing, no broken headlight, no guts
splattered up on the windshield, no buckled fender, no...
Perhaps if you explained, in detail, what you've tried and what hasn't worked. I don't know if you're trying to post a photo from a phone,
tablet, computer, Ipad, or what. More details are always...
If at first you don't succeed... :)
That was the reason I questioned KPH or MPH.
I agree, the driver did his turn correctly, unlike most drivers around here who pay very little attention to what lane to turn into. But the video
shows a gap in the center median coming up, and it...
Did I read that right? 120 MPH, not KPH?
There's another thread going on about trying to find the right size tires in a 14" wheel size. I did post in that one
that a quick Google search turned up a bunch of tires in 165/65-14.
I agree, the biker could possibly have avoided the incident if he had been paying strict attention and riding defensively.
Seeing a car pull out of a side street is a signal to watch that car for a...
I'm certainly glad it was simply a misunderstanding. I was pretty stunned that it was thought I was flaming someone. I'll
have to admit I had to reread my post to see what I had done, and was still...
Wow, you've totally confused me. I was unaware I was flaming anyone. I commented on the stupidity of posting a video that showed a person
doing something stupid. The website is obviously not a news...
Why in heaven's name would you post something that shows you as a total butt head, on social media? I guess a few minutes of fame is worth any price.
Thanks much for the illustration, that is much different from the Spyder.
Ah, the Ryker anti-sway bar is much different from the Spyder's. Good to know.
By "three piece", are you referring to the links that attach to the end of the anti-sway bar? The Ryker
OEM bar is...
While I do agree that the BajaRon anti-sway bar works wonders. I do have to disagree with your comment about installing it. It has
to be installed just like an OEM anti-sway bar, i.e. as a one piece...
Yep, I just checked Peggy's 2013 STS-SM5 and it's really easy to spot. The frame piece is flat and you can't miss it.
A quick Google search shows Vredestein makes that size in the Q-5 which is a very popular selection by Spyder riders.
Also found Bridgestone, Federal, and Dunlop offerings in that size. Tire Rack...
What size was the rear tire? Was it also the Vredestein?
Oops, that's right. I had a brain phart and was my thinking was wronghanded.
I don't know about cut and dried, that Spyder was moving a lot faster than any other traffic. May have been moving
too quickly to react to the turn signals and car moving over. Of course that's...
Peggy has a 2013 STS-SM5, not a Ryker, and they may be worlds apart, but the cornering at any, and I mean any, speed is noticeably
improved with the BajaRon swaybar installed. I put the links on...
Very true, so one learns to mitigate the risk to an acceptable level. That includes honing one's skills, not riding on substandard
equipment, i.e. bad tires, among other things.
"If it were me, I would purchase the CanAm upgraded sway bar and purchase the Baja Ron links."
Just curious about your reasoning.
Be advised that some counties down there are dry, so you may not be able to have beer with your BBQ. BBQ without some dark ale
is just not the same. Good, but not great.
I hate those add-on fees. I want the bottom dollar price, not the bottom dollar price plus fees. To me those
are part and parcel of doing business. It's like Best Buy charging you to unbox the tv,...
Generally speaking, extended warranties are a revenue generator for the dealerships, of any kind.
To me, the RT is about like you described, with the ST being more traditional motorcycle position with your feet pretty much directly
below your butt.
On Edit: I just had to go down and check it...
