I'm in Canada and I've never been asked by the police about the age of my helmet but I replace mine about every 4 years.

looks like a day in the 50s with some rain in the 40s over night

yesterday we had a dusting of snow, today it' in the 40s gonna get some rain by the look of things, calling for 50s and sunshine tomorrow, good timing have to take my spyder to town for certification
