As someone like you, I was a Goldwing rider also... I traded my 2012 Wing in for a 2022 RT Limited, I never tried sitting on a F3 simply because none of the dealers in the 50 mile radius had one on...

I have used both the Hi Flo and K&N on my 2012 Goldwing and when I traded it in for my RTL it had 94,000 on it.
No problems, IMHO is more a choice of what you want.
