I had a wing about 10 years ago. Triked it out with a Champion trike kit. Had it for a relatively short time and then sold it because I left the country. I came back to US about 3 years ago, and...

My 14 RT LTD has had a very noisy fuel pump since new. Worked ok, just noisy. Would have a steady whine when fuel was cold but would change to a wa-wa sound as the fuel warmed up. Spoke to the...
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the input. The insurance number I quoted was for insuring the Spyder, not a maintenance contract. That was from good ol' Progressive. I finally got a reasonable quote with...
I have been looking at pulling the trigger on a new 2014 RT LTD but am not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from the dealer. Price is OK but they are feeding me some bogus BS, such as lazer alignment...
I have spent countless hours doing research on oil and have found the following to be true.
1. Full Synthetic oils are a very good thing, particulary in motorcycle wet clutch applications. They...
I live in Thailand and there is no road rage here that I have seen. There is terrible traffic congestion, horrible drivers, most don't have drivers license. People will stop anywhere, pull out in...
It boggles my mind that people continue to buy Spyders with all the current and past problems, inept dealers, parts shortages, hassles, and ever growing list of problems and failures the Spyder has...
FYI. For a good synopsis of federal and state lemon laws go to www.carlemon.com/lemons.html

I think your instructor was blowing smoke. Check out the federal regulations on helmets.

I would think the value of a 3 year old Spyder without a warranty would be very low. I would buy a GL1800 trike with no warranty and 50k miles on it, and not give it a second thought, but not a...
I'm 67 and can't remember if I am young or not. :dontknow:

I just picked up a Scorpion EXO 900 transformer helmet today. It is a flip face but also converts to a 3/4 helmet in about 10 seconds. Also has a built in sunshield that retracts up inside the...
Sounds like BRP is still selling prototype Spyders and has compounded the problem with a super poor service network. Glad I didn't buy one. I have been looking at buying an ATV. I wouldn't even...
I was at the beach today in Jom Tein, Thailand and low and behold I saw a red Spyder going down the street. Couldn't believe it. First one I have seen in the flesh. That dude better hope he doesn't...
I was going to buy a Spyder, but early on it seemed to me like they were signing up any dealer that wanted to participate and did not provide any dealer training. That and long delivery delays,...
Suggest you read through the posts here. You will find there have been quite a few problems noted by various owners.
I got rid of my real estate over 2 years ago and went into fixed income and Emerging market ETFs. Was doing well until the interest rates went to hell and EM ETFs decided to take a dump. However, I...
Take a look on Ebay and in www.cycletrader.com There are normally quite a few new and used for sale.
Welcome to Amerika
Buyers remorse? Look on Ebay and Cycle trader. A bunch for sale, most with less than 1k miles.
Super trike and bulletproof.
I am very much looking forward to the 09 models. It will be interesting to see if they have corrected any of the known problems that were prevelant during the 08 model year.
Sounds to me like BRP is signing up any dealer willing to take on the BRP line, and obviously is not providing any training to those dealerships. Bad business practice.
Scotty,
Ride-on s much better than Slime. Can be washed off with water and doesn't have any effect on alloy rims.
There is an outfit called C.M. Sports in Minnesota that has 15 new spyders in stock if anyone is interested.
Has BRP ever addressed any of the heat issues yet?
I wear glasses and find the flip face helmets to work great. Do not have to mess with glasses at all.
Are the grab handles bolted to the frame of the Spyder or just run into some plastic?
