teninospyder, my wife and I have been contemplating the same thing for a while now. I had a hip replacement in January that still isn't doing that well and have the other hip replacement scheduled...
I've used both Gerbings and Aerostitch. Both good gear.
Here in the Carson Valley of NV we've gone from cool and rainy (with hail in nearby Dayton, NV!) early in the week to more seasonal today at high 70's. Tomorrow, however, it's back to summer with an...
Lew,
Yes, it is, as I didn't want to have to take it down to Sacramento. They've treated me OK the last time I was in... except for the small detail that I needed to bring it back for the actual...
Dropped it off at the dealer to complete the front sprocket recall... finally!
It looks like I'll be getting the recall sprocket this Friday (10/6). The dealer is firm on having to keep the F3 for 24 hours "to let the Locktite cure" so we'll have it back the next day. I think...
In my case, two reasons in order of importance:
1. Riding the RT was painful due to my bad hips and knees.
2. I prefer "sitting in" and the lower CG of the F3 to "sitting on" the RT - there's...
Can't do that with the two-tome matte/shiny black, mate... it shows every bit of dirt! :yikes:
We got rained on last weekend (a week ago) and it sat in the garage for a week, dirty, giving me dirty looks every time I went out there until I washed it!
Installed Lamonster's cat delete, bar clamp with RAM ball and foam grip covers. Oh, and I washed it... we got caught in the rain last weekend near Lassen Park and hadn't had a chance until today.
I just did it. Pitched the baffle that came with the pipe and used Lamonster's "Can Opener" baffle instead. Not too loud, don't notice any difference in performance but now I don't smell burning...
I took my F3 into the local dealer (reluctantly) in October of 2022 for the sprocket replacement. I've just received the same letter as FalconAF. I'd been under the impression that the 10/22 repair...
Still going back and forth between the Street Glide and the F3T despite hip, knee and now back issues. I'll give up 2 wheels when I just can't hold up a Honda Shadow... but 2-up we're always on the...
The closest I've come to that is years ago in SoCal; a pickup truck lost a mattress. I was riding a CB750 at the time and just had enough time to stand up on the pegs and lean back. It was an...
You should both realize that you're talking about a 19-year old sailor as this was some 46 years ago. We were dumb enough to feed it but smart enough to throw from a good distance, hence I still...
C'mon, that's not really true. When I was going to a Navy school in Orlando, we had a little pond not too far from our barracks. Of course, the pond had an alligator, maybe because we fed it... it...
It's been in the high 90's/low 100's here all week. I could really use some wind therapy, thinking about an evening ride when it's a refreshing 80 or so!
Reworked the flasher that came with the Lamonster Tail Brightener Kit and cleaned up the installation - now I gots flashy brake lights! :)
And finally... if you buy the Lamonster Tail Brightener and the flasher module doesn't work, that can be fixed. I noted that the outgoing negative (black wire) from the flasher module had been cut...
Installed a portion of Lamonster's Tail Brightener Kit - see here for photos.
GR, here's a quick rundown of Lamonster's Tail Brightener Kit installed in my 2017 F3T with factory top box.
What's in the package:
203404
The instructions:
203405
Just looked at my top case, I think that's a darn good idea. Got a photo? I'd appreciate seeing how/where you routed the electrical for the upper strips.
I have a Craftsman, no trouble lifting my F3T
I've just ordered the Tail Brighter Kit from Lamonster. It connects by removing two push pins at the top case latch and pulling the plate there. That gives access to the top case tail light wiring....
Yup, this right here. It's kept me alive in commute traffic in the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles as well as right here in the wilds of Northern Nevada. Seems to me the "crazy quotient" just keeps...
I took my wife to the local HD dealer's Demo Days and rode a Tri-Glide just to see how much had changed since 2010, the last time I tried one (and passed on it). For what it's worth, my solo ride is...
sparky, if you look under the the front of right armrest, is there a RAM ball on yours? If so, there's endless possibilities for mounting cup holders... or anything else your passenger would like! ...
Congratulations, Deanna! You'll like the F3 LTD, especially if you like curves. By now you've probably noticed the F3's handling compared to the RT.
And tiny brains. Do this on a track, you're a hero. Do this on a public road, you're a zero.
I've had modulators on a GL1500, a GL1800 and an Electra Glide. I've had a couple of encounters with angry drivers who stopped being angry when informed that the lights were a safety device and...
