How about a "sea" can storage container? Waterproof, secure and damn near indestructible. Available in many sizes. When you are done with it, sell it for near what you paid.

Thanks Colin, good to have confirmation! I don't know why, but the silver sport rack is on sale for approx $130.00 vs the other colors. I think I will order one, fit it an paint to match. Saves $250...
