I got my last service at Columbia Powersports in Columbia, SC and I was very pleased. They have two locations. I go to the Fernandina location.
I'm not a very outgoing person, but being less than satisfied with my local dealer I went to a dealer an hour away and nervously asked to see the Service Manager. He came out and asked me what I...
I agree with daveinva about Ohio 555 (known as the triple-nickel). While you are in Ohio, visit Lehman's Hardware in Kidron, OH. You'll be dazzled. Kidron is in an Amish area. Lots to see in Holmes...
Based on your recommendation, I bought one today and it is now charging. I'm looking forward to using it.
The bags are Hopnel bags. Big Bike Parts also sells them as do other vendors. I just have the two for the back trunk The small one that goes in the bottom of the back trunk is especially useful.

Guy says, "Is that a real bike?" I said, "No, it isn't a bike. Bike comes from bicycle, and 'bi' means two and I have three." He pauses and says, "What color are the other two?"
Three of us leaving from Augusta about 10:00 on Wednesday morning. Going up 17 in GA and 441 through Franklin, NC
I find it just as quick to just lift the seat and use the battery tender alligator clips on the battery studs.
Biosfena,
Sorry to hear of you negative experience with dealers. If all fails, I recommend J&J Cycles in Huron, OH. A small dealer, but very customer friendly.

I thought that would activate the Nanny. If lifting a front wheel doesn't activate it, what does when cornering?
Once the Spyder is on the lift, does the center grey ramp and the center grey insert come off to gain access to the bottom of the front of the Spyder?
"I was able to modify a Kuryakyn cup-holder to fit my RT"
What were the modifications that you made?
LLSailor,
I have the same Rivco flag mounts. The white clips that came with them keep flying off. I've now lost all of them. Today my Navy flag came off because the clips came off. Luckily the...
Coptermike,
Google "motorcycle packing lists" and you'll find many different opinions about what to pack.
On my last trip, I blew a fuse for the 12v outlet in the trunk. (The only problem I've...
You have come to the one place where you can get answers and help on any imaginable question about Spyders. There are some amazingly knowledgable folks on here.
One note of caution: since folks...
I was thinking about getting the OEM setup, so I'm glad I saw your post before I plunked down the big bucks.
I'm now looking at GA Blue Knight's suggestion.
I'm looking forward to it. Just me.

KRZY CHICK,
Thanks much for your prompt and generous response. Great to see Rivco and other sponsors on this forum having such great customer service.
I'm puzzled. I ordered earlier today (order #10378) and was charged shipping.
Did I not do it correctly?
I'm open to any of them.
Columbia Powersports is at exit 104 on I-26. They are on the frontage road on the east side of the interstate just south of the exit.
Unless one has extra farkles and lights, I wonder if using hi beams really puts an excessive load on the charging system.
I had a crampbuster (or a similar brand) for several years on another bike. Here's the only issue I see: Without the cramp buster, in a panic situation, you only have to open your fingers to...
Just got this new plate this week

Gotta root for the Big Ten team
It seems to be more rpm related. It is much less noticable in 4th gear than 5th. At its worse (5th gear, 76 mph, 5600 rpm, under load, up a grade), it physically buzzes (higher frequency vibration)...
Scotty,
What are thoughts about the belt tensioner? Thanks for your input.
Riding on the interstate today with the cruise control on at 76 mph (5600 rpm) my RTS had a significant buzz (vibration) anytime going up a grade. I slowed to 74 (5400 rpm) and the buzz was less. ...
