I too find a little higher PSI (than the accepted norm) in the front helps with grip and cornering in general. I run at 20 PSI with the standard kendas on my F3-S and corner quite hard on our twisty...
Right I get you now. I got into the fuelmoto site at last (and no licking required :opps:) and see that they charge an extra $250 for their maps and licence. But then you get their maps and not...
Ah ok, thanks for the info. That seems very reasonable at $400 all in, I'd prefer that to removing the ECM and sending it Monster Fuel in Canada. I'll have to e-mail them to see if they've got euro...
lol!! :)
Hi, thanks for the write up on the PV3 and the links to the knowledge articles. Really interesting.
I'm still a little confused as to the relationship between the different companies. So Dynojet...
Mine is the same - I think it's due to the rider backrest pushing it backwards. It's forward / backward movement in the seat so I'm not sure the locking bolt adjustment would help - but I'm happy to...
In the UK that would be the bonnet, same in Oz?
There have been issues over the years with the gear position sensor, one MY had a recall for it due to contamination. That can cause shifting issues.
This thread has some other suggestions...
This made me laugh as our cat was adopted from this exact circumstance. My bike lives outdoors under a cover and when I came to check on it a few winters ago I saw a ginger blur and found a stray...
Ah yes, I remember that now. I think a similar chat with 158 was what led me to look into importing from europe.
Glad you got sorted and didn't have to change them yourself!!
I imported my F3 from Germany in 2015 and it had the LHD lamp units in so I had to swap them for RHD to get it registered. You can get them from a dealer, the BRP units are £300+ each if memory...
I've used a couple of cheap chinese USB sockets in the left hand hole and my latest is this one:

That glossy grey has been the 'must have' colour for cars in europe for about 2 years so no surprise to see a Spyder in it. Always makes me think they forgot to add a topcoat over the primer...........
I can't see how it can have better acceleration if all it does is make the throttle more sensitive? Yes, you can get to full throttle fractionally quicker (it takes what, 0.5sec to twist the...
I use a 'disclock' on the back wheel - abus 'Granit':

Fits nicely through the slots between the rear disc and it's mounting bracket. I can take a picture if you're interested.

I was really excited about the MaptunerX after reading this thread ................... then I checked the price on line!! :yikes: Not so excited about it now. Back to my original intention to send...
Really interesting and thanks for sharing. I had no idea these things were out there.
My thoughts are:
1) That would be illegal in the UK as your tire now sticks out way beyond the wheel arch...
I would say the correct tire pressures are what works for you. I run the fronts harder than 18psi as it give more 'bite' from the front tires and improves turn in to corners. It also raises the...
Interesting, did they clear the 2014 fenders without any issues? I've considered for the front but the extra size in diameter and width had me concerned about rubbing:

The Kenda on my F3 from new was about 5 years old when I recently changed it and the rubber had gone very hard and 'plasticky'. Some of that is of course from UV and weathering, which a stored new...
Thanks for the feedback - you're the first review I've read from someone who's had stock F3 bar / RT Bar / and now full upgrade bar. Interesting to read what you thought.
Yeah, F3-S only from 2017 MY I think.
Got to say the same about the RT bar as said above - got one on mine and it's great. Improved handling a lot and it was free (from an owner on here) with the matching blocks. I can't imagine...
I know it's bad form to reply to your own reply but I thought I'd add that the Advan Fleva V701 is now available in the US and replacing the S-Drive. Thanks to JCThorne for that in another thread on...
Ah, well I can recommend it. Excellent wet and dry grip.
It only comes with 8mm of tread as opposed to the 10mm the S-Drive had. I don't have much of an idea of wear rate as yet, but I did a...
Sorry - stock Kenda from new so around 5 years old (DOT was July 2014) changed to Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 205/55/15: https://www.y-yokohama.com/release/?id=2571&lang=en. Not sure if this will ever...
I've just fitted a Yokohama to mine, 205/55/15, and the size difference is not an issue. It's the same diameter and about 10mm narrower.
It's the newer model than the S-Drive AS01, Advan Fleva...
I can only say that mine has had the whine for the last 3.5 years but changing the rear tire stopped it completely but not intentionally.
I had always just accepted the whine but now it's totally...
Straightforward job but you need a step drill to enlarge 2 holes in a plastic trim part.
