The bike goes in Monday for 3K service. I will make sure that I put a tender on the bike!
Update:
I finally got the beastie started. Yup new battery, old one was toast. Went for a 50 mile ride all good. Scheduled for the shop, I realized that I am 500 miles late for my 3K service. ...
My RTL has been sitting for 9 months. Long story that I will talk about after June 1st. I have not been able to start my Spyder for 9 months. I will have a chance to see her for several hours. I...
I have ridden a bunch n the rain on other vehicles, both 2 and 4 wheels. Nothing I rode in seemed as unsettles as the Spyder did.
Lew, I am in school to get a CDL A long story why but all...
When I wear a helmet I always wear a due (sp?) rag. In hot weather I make sure and soak it with water before I put my lid on. It keeps me head cool for 30 minutes to an hour. I wear an Aria, XD-4...
Being out west I have not ridden in much wet weather with the RTL. Today was different. Thunderstorms, rain pouring down, hail the whole works. I am on OEM Kendas, to say they were quirky would be...
Here in northern Nevada, M/C sales are down as are Spyder sales. The SXSs are moving off the shelves.
I wear BMW City Pants, I carry in one of the pockets. That way it is with me all the time.
I buy last seasons snow over suits. Amazing how snow bunnies want to have the right colors and right logos. They are designed for high speed water and last.
I keep a set f Frog Togs that I keep...
Always happy to lead a ride. Maybe think about a fall colors ride. Plan on a long day and cover a lot of the Sierras!
Had a nice ride with Dave today. Showed him some of Douglas county
Riding with a group on July 27. Meeting at Jethro's in the Rancho's at 0900 to determine where we are riding too, breakfast then go ride!
I have an RT, after adding a Baja Ron my pillion is not happy with how she has to hold on. Looking at doing the armrests so she is more secure in the pillion seat.
My local M/C shop installs tires on wheels if you take the wheel off the bike.
Jarvis, I have a buddy that last I heard lived in Pahrump retired from the Navy. Known as "fuzzy" go guy if you know him.
When I am looking at the side where does this hang down at? Like to know where to be concerned as I try to load the bike.
I had a Russell on my BMW M/C and I loved it. I have planned for this winter getting a Russell. I will probably end up with the Tri-axial also. Most likely do the Russell first and then the handle...
I could have used the advanced turn function today. I do part time driving for a stone and tile house in our neighborhood. I had to drive to Sacramento to pic up some stone. I missed a turn because...
When my Zumo 550 dies I will have to look for other options, until then I use the daylights out of it.
Seat of the pants, I get upper 30's. 2K miles. Mostly 2 up and we ride like it is stolen!
I have an enclosed utility trailer that is set up for carrying Jeeps and M/C's I figured that would be a good trailer to carry the Spyder in.
First hard ride since change over to BajaRons sway bar. A vast improvement, stock sway bar 2 up the bike would lean hard taking sharp turns at posted spees. With the new bar the same turns are...
My winter job will be to come up with a mount for my zumo 550. I hate buying anoth GPS when my 550 has worked for years!
Before my stroke I was in the rough planning for a trip to the Arctic Cirle and Haul road on my R1200GS. Now that I am on three wheels I had thought about doing it but not gotten to the "I am going...
I was looking at putting mine on a trailer. Now I am not so sure if they are going to be that tempramental about loading and unloading.
I will know Friday night if I am going to be in town during that time. If I am, you are welcome to store it in my yard. The downside, I am in 50 minutes south of Reno.
Looking at riding north of Reno maybe downieville maybe July 6 or 13.
This will help during the next winter when I add a bunch of electronics, GPS, Heated gear, USB connection on the wheel, aftermarket horn, LED light bar (if I can find a good place for it), etc.
