Yes they do. Should be a recall for this poor design decision. Said parts should be in next week so fingers crossed.

Apparently mine is the same issue. Oil pump drive gear failed. Tech couldn't believe they have a plastic gear inside the crankcase.

I was riding in to work this morning at about 75 and suddenly the oil light and CEL comes on and an error message to Stop Engine/Low Oil and the bike lost power. Had to limp it the rest of the way...
