Yep, Bruiser. Same issue, and coincidentally, our RT mileage is almost identical.
I wanted to follow-up on the issue in case it may help others. I checked the clutch fluid and the level was fine. But, I did notice some sludge. I took the Spyder to the dealer and had them flush...
I apologize if I was not clear, I was trying to shift from 2nd to 1st.
I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to tell me. I was not trying to find neutral - I was trying to down shift from 2nd to 1st while slowing to red lights. I've never had any such issues...
Yesterday, after riding for about 75 miles, I started having trouble downshifting from 2nd to 1st while coming to a stop at lights on my 2012 model RT-SM5. A couple of times I actually had to pull...
I have used both Ted's in Alton, IL, and Holzhauer Pro Motorsports in Nashville, IL. I prefer Holzhauer as I seemed to get better customer service there. I bought my Spyder at Ted's and my trailer...
The wife and I really like our Nolan N43E Trilogy helmets. We always use the chin bar when riding, but remove the bar while putting the helmet on or taking it off as it makes it much easier with eye...
I've used this and it seems to work well.

I travel extensively to a lot of third world countries and what you see in the video is accurate. While traveling as a passenger in a car in those locations I just close my eyes because I can't...
I agree. They are very nice. John is a true gentleman who wants his customers to be happy.
I did install John's shifter. I haven't had a chance to give a good and honest try out yet and really was checking to see if it's correct. I did go around the block a couple of times, and like you...
This is just an out loud thanks to BajaRon. The wife and I have Nolan N43 helmets - mine is the N43E Trilogy and hers is the older N43 Trilogy. As most may know one difference in the two is the...
I tried posting a photo earlier, but my computer skills apparently are not yet up to the task. However, the measurement from the top of the floorboard to the bottom of the toe peg is 1 1/8 inches if...
I would be grateful if someone could post a photo of the Seals left side floorboard mounted on the RT SM5. I installed John's RT SM5 DLX version on my RT SM5 and would like confirmation from others...
I can't say when they arrived as I was out of town, but they were there when I got home. That's all that matters to me. :D
DT, I concur. Not overdone, and, I might add - a very nice looking Spyder!
I think I need to apologize. I didn't read the thread post rules before I started the thread. Moderaters, please delete the thread if necessary. This is not a mod I have done.
Stillriding, it worked fine on my RTS this morning both before and after installing the seals RT SM5 DLX version.
I agree. I ordered my seals via the web on Sunday night, July 22. I left on a business trip on Monday, and my new seals were waiting on me when I arrived home on Friday night, July 27.
Yep, it worked on my RTS when I installed the Seals this morning. I first jacked up the RTS to put her on jack stands, but I was a bit nervous when I took it off the stands to let the RTS down. Just...
Just and idea, not necessarily a good one though, but has anyone considered using chrome door trim to bring some more sparkle to the RT. With this:

I have no difficulties steering with the Cramp Buster. As far as control, if you want to back off the throttle, just lift the heal of your hand or rotate your wrist. BTW, this is not a cruise control...
A Cramp Buster may help. I don't have arthritis but I do have a Cramp Buster. No need to grasp the throttle, just press the Cramp Buster with the heal of your hand
My wife and I just used these on our recent road trip. They work and help you stay cool a long time. When they dry out just soak them again and off you go.
Arctic Tie Cooling Bandana

I use this stuff from big box hardware stores and it should work:
velcro
It is great for wrapping all kinds of stuff. I used it to wrap up my cover, my rain suits, etc. This is not the two...
I had it installed during my 600 mile service and my dealer only charged me for the part. I think I got lucky. :)
The Silver Steed 'cause it's the only horse I've got.
Thanks folks for the suggestions.
Bullant12. If you still have the Inspector Gadget shifter and floorboards, I'd definitely be grateful to take them off your hands. I'll also drop you a PM.
