My vote would be to include a day in Eureka Springs AR. Great little artsy town built on the side of a big hill. Great riding in that area and not far at all from Springfield. Have your walking shoes...

In another section of the forum, someone also suggested locking your steering where you turn the bars full lock to either side. It made it more difficult for someone to get on.

There are now two styles of highway pegs available. I would seriously look at those. The newest style is very adjustable. Both from LaMonster.
