I would stay away from 2011s or earlier. Get a three cyl. vs two.....
I triked my '02 Gold Wing in '05 and still have it. It runs like a hose. I like the Spyder too. I will be 89 in two weeks so get three and be free.
Thanks...one of my friends also read my post and called me. He has the Sena 20 eva as do several others. He said he will help me install and bluetooth it....I guess I better call Dave.
Someone...
I know little about Bluetooth, Sena headset, etc. I ride with several Spyder Ryders who have Senas attached to their helmets. I don't do music, etc, only wish to talk to my friends as we cruse the...
I will soon replace my 2017 battery on Mr. White. I change out my batteries every three years. Many do not agree but I don't want to get caught with a dead battery in far west Texas.....no cell...
Me too Rob...... and I change the battery every three years in my scoots and vehicles....can not afford to get stuck in Redford, TX and points west. I charge the new batteries 12+ hours before using...
As said before, I change all of my vehicle batteries every three years. I ride in west Texas and don't wish to have a battery failure in no where along with no cell service.....I consider my battery...
I have the Gerbing battery powered jacket. I like the flexibility of it. I can use it when on my tractor, etc.
Thanks for the update Lamont and good luck.
As said earlier, get a 2014 or newer for the three cylinder engine.....much better than the two cylinder. Enjoy.
I agree with Bill but replace batteries every three years.....needed or not. If I would get stranded in southwest Texas, with no cell service or towns and little vehicle traffic I would be in...
I change all my vehicle batteries every three years. If my battery goes out in far west Texas they will find my cold dead body with my cell phone clutched in my hand. Oh, did I mention, no cell...
Glad you are back. Enjoy.
As you see I have a 2017 RTS (my third Spyder) and a 2002 Gold Wing with a 2005 Motor Trike kit and I like both. They are different rides for sure. Too many differences to list but in the hill...
Oh, my mistake. Okay on car tires.....thanks
Mike, are you saying 17-18 pounds in the rear tire? That is a little low isn't it?
I was told by a BRP employee that CBs are not a big thing in Canada so they stopped making the entertainment wiring on the 2018 models and discontinued the CB also. Their CBs were not much good...
Make sure front tire pressures are the same....around 17-18 and the rear 28-30. Uneven pressures in front will give you a bad ride. Good luck.
:spyder2:
I ride my Spyder and Wing and like both. If on an Interstate for long distance, my Wing is best for me. My Spyder is great in the hill country that I ride for the most part. If I only could have...
Yes, worthless. Try it once and then you will know.... :spyder2:
Now a 2017 RT-S is just listed for $10,700. This is on Craigslist and sounds a little low to me.
I had a Burgman for three years or so. It is the Gold Wing of scooters. Smooth, faster than you want to ride, comfortable and just a fine all around machine. I am kinda sorry I sold it. The man...
When you get home, charge the battery to 100% and it will last longer. Dealers seldom charge batteries on new scoots. Insure correct air pressure in tires.....the same pressure in both front tires...
I change out the batteries on my scoots every three years.....needed or not. I put a charger on them every ride or so. Never had a battery related problem. I ride west Texas once in a while and...
Go to WalMart, get one and change it out every three years. I do this with all my vehicles.
Never have a battery problem. Ya don't want to get caught in far west Texas with a battery problem. ...
Spend a little more and get a 2016 or 2017. I had a 2011 and was a good scoot but the 3 cyl. is a lot better.
As you can see, I have a 2002 Gold Wing with a Honda CB. I had a BRP CB on my 2011 and 2014 RT Spyders. Neither BRP CB close to the GW. It is waste of money, try another brand. I still have my GW...
I bought my first Spyder in 2011 (RT). Rode it home, 30 miles and called the dealer to return it.
She said, ride it a week and if you don't like it, we will talk about it. I decided to ride it...
[FONT=Arial Black][/FONTThanks for the kind words gentlemen/ladies. I am in pretty good shape for my age and with three wheels, I will ride as long as I feel safe for myself and with my group, The...
He said PRP has reduced the retail price on many Spyder models up to $3,000. I did not ask which models, etc but he indicated it was due to the Ryker models. He did not seem to be too happy about...
