My wife is getting transferred to Texas, so I'm going to have to change my name to Txspeedmaster. Moving to the Temple area and I have a question for the group. The closest dealer is in Killeen,...
Hi all,
I have a 2009 GS with the 1" riser block. I was wondering if anyone has changed to different handlebars as the angle of the bars is uncomfortable on long rides. I know the cover would not...
Had nothing to do with the Spyder, it's arthritic stenosis. Affects my walking, had no issues or pain while riding. Have tried PT, muscle relaxers, epidurals, and have been on pain meds....
Having been fighting back pain for the last several months I've decided to have surgery as recommended by my doctor. Having a 3 level spinal laminectomy. Just wondering if anyone has had similar...
Was riding south on Greenwood Lake Turnpike towards Ringwood when I saw a red F3 heading north towards West Milford NJ. :2thumbs:
Thanks to all for the information.:thumbup:
Hi all, I bought my :spyder2: used, and it did not come with any tools. I have a good supply of most of the tools, but it looks like there is a triangle shaped tool to remove the saddlebag brackets....
Thanks all for the advice, it's good to have access to a group of experienced owners.
Thanks Andy, I'll keep you in mind. I went to one bike night in 2012 when I was between employment. My current hours won't let me attend, but hopefully that may change. If nothing else we can ride on...
Had the longest ride yet on my 2009 GS Spyder that I bought in November (this winter sucked!), rode for 120 miles. Temp was in the high 70's/low 80's. Had a great time, but my left leg got quite...
Saw a grey ST heading south on 7 Lakes Road in Harriman State Park in NY around 12:15 this afternoon. I was heading north towards Bear Mountain.
I was out yesterday, rode out to Cyclemotion in Middletown to pick up the latest copy of Backroads magazine. Made a nice 70 mile loop. Everytime I ride the :spyder2: I'm getting more comfortable. I...
Sounds good to me.
Finally was able to get my :spyder2: out for the first ride of the year. 34°F, so only went about 20 miles around Greenwood Lake. Felt nice to finally get out. :D
I live on the NY/NJ border and have had a brake light modulator on my motorcycle for over 10 years and almost 29,000 miles. Have not had an issue in either state.
Congrats on the new ride.:thumbup:
I bought mine used in November.
I just received a recall notice on my 2009 GS for the gas cap. They gave photos so I can inspect to see if it needs to be changed.
I live in NJ and my motorcycle is a Triumph Speedmaster.
Being in the auto industry working at an automotive manufacturer, I have firsthand knowledge of what is involved with issuing recalls. When the manufacturer identifies a safety or emission related...
Yes, it is in an album on Spyderlovers. Not sure about your other question. I don't really mind.
Here you go
Took the :spyder2: up to Cycle Motion in Middletown, NY today to pick up the latest issue of Backroads magazine (highly recommended reading). Temp was in the lower 40's, with the heated seat and...
I was quite surprised last night to see one of the photos of my Spyder in my photo album showing up in a Facebook post by Can-Am. Kind of cool.
Testing my signature
Just got back from a ride where I put on my 300th mile. Have a few observations.
First, this roadster is great in stop and go traffic situations. Not having to continuously put a foot down is...
West Milford, NJ
Thanks. In West Milford on Greenwood Lake.
Hi everyone, just picked up my new (to me) 2009 GS Spyder. Put about 50 miles on it and it was a nice ride once I started to relax. Been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, so I'm sure it will take...
