Try wrapping the header pipes with pipe wrap. You can get it from any speed shop. It helps reduce the radiant heat coming from the pipes and allows the pipe to do what they are suppose to, push...
The signals will autocancel as several others have said.
The left panel coming off may have been the hook is either not there (early build models) or the hook was not properly set when the panel...
Did you get a copy of the contract? That's your proof of coverage until your card arrives. 60-90 days is normal for the card to come.
The system really does not have much fluid in them. It is quite feasable that the fluid level was fine at the service. We did have one that the assist piston was worn and it caused the fluid to leak...
If you are running a twin pipe on an RS/GS get the Juice Box Pro & install a K&N Air Filter. Then Play with the juice box settings to eliminate any backfiring.
After reviewing your post again, I think you have warpped clutch plates. Hopefully your dealer has figured this out by now.
The noise is the computer keeping the throttlr shutter closed. The issue last year was that hot air was entering the air box after shut down via the throttle body bores. Buy allowing the computer to...
Make sure the dealer activated the CB with BUDS. There is also a cluster reflash that came out last week (probably after they took delivery). They should also check the switch on the rear cargo...
I verified the specs with our specification sheets from BRP service. Both the RS Std & RS-S have the 57mm throttle body. What is listed above is deffinately a typo.
BRP did issue and Service Bulletin about uneven tire wear. This is a normal wear pattern. This is due to the geometry of the suspension & road conditions (natural arc in the road). To get longer life...
Very balmy 55 this morning. Fall is coming.
It could be a bad SAS. I have had to replace a few of them.
They may have not reset the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) properly. If this is not done with the steering in the straight ahead position then it WILL throw the vehicle into limp home mode. It's very...
That's odd I have yet to have anyone complain about the quality of the sound. Have you checked your audio settings? I have had people who own GoldWings say the sound quality coming from the Spyder is...
Yes it could. I would also look at your spark plug wires & plug condition. We have had a few were the spark plug boots would leak and arch to the head. This would cause a weak spark in the engine....
Cracking the throttle will ease the hot restart issue. BRP is working on a remap, but it has not come as of yet. It appears to be that the ECU is dumping to much fuel during hot restart. Opening the...
Have your dealer perform a pressure test on the cooling system. It's fairly easy. We have had quite a few tanks that have cracked. We have replaced them under warranty. The crack is very hard to see...
You may have a bad battery. Just one word of advice. If you are turning the bars alot (when stopped) you will put higher amperage demand to the DPS. If you don't run it up to speed then the battery...
It is normal. What you are hearing is the ABS solenoid clicking. Very similar to cars except it's located where you can actually hear. On a car is outside the passenger compartment.
Check that the cable is attached on the rear caliper. If it does not move when you engage the brake make sure that the cable is on the pulley. The pulley is located on the RH side of the vehicle. You...
Was the engine smoking while running. If so it may have a torn clutch diaphram.
It's not a recal, but it is a warranty repair. There is a service bulliten on it but it is a fix a fail. They are not quite sure why only some are doing it. It may have something to do with the...
Tom,
Have your dealer check this out. We had 1 early release do this and we found a small plastic bushing (spacer) was missing in the throttle housing. This 1 we had was the only 1 I know of....
We will take care of it when you get back. Don't worry about it, have fun and ride. We did your first oil change at 600 so you can go up to 4000 with out an issue. Enjoy your trip.:2thumbs:
After 6000 miles retorque to 81-89 FT LBS. Mark bolt after torqued. It's a 1 time retorque.
The bulletin was released last week. It is now 450 Newtons. They also issued a bulletin to retorque the engine pulley after break in. We have been checking them all when servicing.
As service bulliten just came out about this. Contact your dealer. They will have to reset the Gear Box Position Sensor (GPS). I just seen it on BRP's dealer site this morning.
When you buy the GPS Kit from Can-am it comes with the GPS Unit. Available from Can-am Dealer.
The Can-am CB intergrates into the Push-to-Talk function of the Spyder RT. It will go through the...
We received our trailer 2 weeks ago.
The demos are NOT PE models. I just got my demo yesterday and prepped it today. I assure everyone they are not PEs. As far as the dealer in MI. I looked at the ad no where did it say it was a PE...
