What is shipping to Des Moines IA for 2 bottles?
I just posted this today. It is very easy to do. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?146896-How-do-I-replace-2020-RTL-rear-trunk-lid-shock-lift-cylinder-Lid-won-t-stay-up!/page2
Replacing the gas strut is pretty easy on the 2020. Takes about 10 minutes. You remove the two screws inside the trunk that hold the backrest on. (Circled in red) The backrest lifts straight up. Once...
If you do decide to use a 2nd phone, consider a rugged model off amazon. They come with much larger batteries and are considerably cheaper.
I sure hope you are right on the Riken tire. Just ordered one after 6 Kumho's. Hoping for better wet road handling.

When changing oil this week, I also changed the HCM filter. You need to change the engine oil at the same time as there is a considerable amount of oil in the HCM housing. The filter is buried under...
You never polish or wax a matte finish. There are a ton of cleaners out there but Windex works as well as anything. NEVER rub hard on a matte finish. It will ruin the finish and make it shiny.
I have a cable lubrication tool from Motion Pro. A bit messy, but it gets the job done.
As many have stated, yes there is an adjuster for the cable. The real problem may be that the cable is corroded. It doesn't look like it comes from the factory with any lubrication. I have taken one...
I didn't have a new cable so I just took the old one apart, lubricated it and moved it back and forth until all the crud was gone. I don't think they actually lube the cable at the factory. I also...
Which means it can still rust. Look at all the SS grill lids around with surface rust.
It is pretty obvious that most people are taking there bikes to a dealer for service.
I am planning to change the HCM filter on our 2020 RTL. It is a little over due at 31K miles. I have the service manual but it doesn't show any illustration of what panels I need to remove. I am...
The Garmin XT is light years ahead of the older models. You can plan a route easily on the unit vs. Base Camp. The only sketchy thing is the mount. Definitely need to tether the unit to the bike in...
I am calling on all the experts on this site to share the list of tires they have used or know that will fit. The admin will make this a stick post so everyone on the site can benefit from this...
I am a noobie! I was hoping some of the more seasoned guys might step up.
With the search feature on this forum being less than desirable, I would like to request a Sticky for tires that work by model on the Spyder. It sure would save a lot of searching posts and provide...
I use Shout laundry spot treatment (homemade) on my wheels. It does a great job without a lot of scrubbing. This is an old dirt bike trick I learned from my neighbor.
I agree that the older we get the easier it is to hire things done. I had to do that when I was working all the time. Now if it takes me all day to tinker around, I am OK with that. ;)
That is also a good option! Thanks
Thanks for the heads up.
That looks like a great solution for the Spyder. I actually sent an email earlier today to see whether or not the Spyder cones will indeed work with my Super Tenere. If...
There are times when it is not the most convenient way to have a tire changed and balanced. I have other motorcycles that I change tires on too. Being retired with a shop full of tools makes for...
I have been searching for a manual tire balancer for the front wheels on our 2020 RTL. Does anyone know the cone size needed to make one work properly?
Maybe we will see you out there. We are headed that way in early June too.
A good place to start would be https://www.webbikeworld.com They have reviewed a bunch of helmets and also have a guide to head shape. Cheap doesn't always mean low quality but it does equate to how...
Look at the snakeskin product. Not sure if they make anything specifically for the Spyder, But it I think what you are looking for.
The mirror fix kit for the 2020 RT that Lamont came up with is awesome. In his video he keeps saying it is something that anyone can do. Since he came up with the idea, I think people need to buy it...
Wife bought a 2020 RTL the end of May. She now has 8,200 miles on it.
