    tire wear

That's about when I replaced mine. Only had 6400 miles on it but I'm pretty safety conscious and it wasn't worth pushing out the extra 1000 miles or so to me. Plus I didn't want to replace it during...

    rear tire

Just had my rear tire replaced at 6400 miles. I purchased bike new one year ago. Cant honestly say that I have done no burnouts! Haha! I probably had 1000 miles left on it put didn't want to change...
  3. flying through the air!

Very interesting concept. I can't see that you'll be any worse off staying with the bike. Like you state "most of us are to old to fly without a parachute"!

    fuel consumption

My fuel consumption greatly varies and seems dependent on my riding style as you would expect. I've gotten as low as 30 and as high as 40 mpg. The lower mileage is when I'm on the throttle a lot or...

    mileage

I've been very surprised with the gas mileage on my 2104 RS and have gotten 30-32 a few times but usually 34-36 with one 40- mpg. The lower mpg is with interstate riding in hot weather. I use...

    Awesome

That is an amazing video. It just strengthens my feeling about not getting in the ocean.
  13. trying to stay safe

I'm constantly looking for a place to go should an emergency occur. You know this is not always possible. At times there is just simply not a space or if you leave space in front of you someone cuts...

    "Clunk"

Mine does it, I've read somewhere that maybe full synthetic oil helps and will consider that at next service. Guess the clunk is normal but if I could change one thing about my Spyder it would be...

    Tire

Over 4000 miles on my OEM 2014 RS and the tire looks almost new. Run 28 pounds tire pressure and don't do many burnouts:)
  19. Tragic

Hit in the rear I'd think you'd not have much of a chance even if at very low speed. My condolences to all involved.

    Hydrate

I recently rode to south Texas and the best advice I received on taking a long trip was to stay hydrated. Because of the advise I installed a drink holder on my Spyder and kept a cooler in the...
