What is the best way to effectively improve air flow on 2013 ish ST Model
Airflow around/thru the tupperware?? Or airflow into the engine?
The tupperware benefits from a 2014 panel upgrade, quite a few had that done to reduce the under-tupperware heat; while the airflow intothe engine can be improved by putting a few holes of about 2-2.5" dia into the air intake cover & getting an ECU upgrade. :D Or you could remove all the black placcy intake trunking & filter etc & fitting one of JT's CNC air filter kit intakes, but I don't know if they are still being sold/marketed?! :dontknow:
I have a 2013 STS that is being reassembled (in my garage) as we speak.
I removed all of the Aircleaner Air Box and the Resonator. this action created a huge amount of free flow airspace.
Replaced the Sparkplugs and Wires and performed a Canisterectomy.
Then installed a JT Air Cleaner. It takes a bit of trimming on the plastic bits above the airfilter to get everything to fit.
Yes, JT still has the Air Cleaner assembly for sale,
I also drilled several 3" holes in the belly pans and had the 2014 side panels installed.
Air flow in now incredible and heat is significantly reduced.
Sorry no pictures until I get back in town on Tuesday.
Here you can have a look to the newer tupperware from 2014-models with extra air flow
Looks Great, where did you get the 2014 tupperware? not free I'm guessing..
Talk to your local CanAm dealer. Side panels for the 2013 ST are a goodwill offering from CanAm
The side panels can be ordered and installed by the dealer at no cost to you.

See post #391 kit and for part numbers.
Might be good will in. uSA but not in their home country of origin. Poor engineering on BRP part on ST-S, yet the RT got the kit in Canada.
I just called my dealer here in Oklahoma and they told me that BRP has free 14' replacement panels only for the RT's & not ST.:(
It's possible your dealer doesn't know about it (there was no recall or TSB if I remember correctly.) It also could be that since the ST was discontinued there is no inventory of 2014 body panels left.
I would reach out directly to BRPcares and see if they are still doing it.
There is no recall for it. It's more of a courtesy from Can Am if the customer comes in complaining of high heat while riding. This a "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" kind of situation here.
My godson is the parts mgr at a Can-Am dealership. Tried to get gratis panels for a new to my wife 2013 ST. Godson chatted with the regional rep - no dice on panels free sycamore, at least here. Bought some (bit the bullet) and installed. Nice difference.
