I ran into a problem while installing the Baja Ron sway bar on my 2017 F3S. I removed the torx and phillips screws on the two "clam shell assemblies" but they won't come apart. Something else is still keeping them together. Any help is appreciated.

Just rotate and slide aft, out of the way.
Push pin removed and I was able to slide it aft and rotate it out of the way. Still not able to separate the deflector part from the shell part of the clam shell assembly.
As long as it is pushed out of the way there is no need to remove it completely. Those push pins with the Phillips screw in them can be a pain as it doesn’t take much to strip it.
I found out what I did wrong after looking at the parts list - I missed removing one torx screw. This screw was hidden from view because it was not visible like the other three torx screws unless I was looking directly down at it. Once I removed that screw, the "clam shell assembly separated into two parts.
I'm curious as to why you removed the splash guards. I have seen them removed for aesthetic reasons — by people who plan to not ride in the rain. When I installed the Baja Ron bar on my '15 F3s the main challenge was getting the Spyder lifted high enough. The splash guards weren't in the way.
The Baja Ron instructions said to remove them. Once removed I had planned to clean them up and paint them, which I did. I agree with you on "lifting the spyder high enough". The two pics are my version on lifting the spyder for an oil change and for the sway bar replacement.
I like your style... Lots of wood there.
I've been wanting to install mine, didn't done it yet because of the high lift need.
